Any news on why Howard is not practicing this spring? It is just saying personal reason on the major sites.

I think he has some troubles with the school work, they probably continued into this year.

But I'm like all of the VFL on here, hope he gets things figured out...good kid, seems like.

You surely arent comparing losing Pig to losing CP

No. But straight from the mouth of Butch Jones is that losing Pig for the Oregon game put a hurting on our offensive gameplan. My point was that losing chunks of your proven offensive production every offseason is going to impact the offense negatively.

Didn't we have a couple of guys take some leave last year and come back and be productive...???

Then again the only thing that sticks in my mind when I see the "guy taking a leave" scenario is da'Rick, et al under Dooley...sigh

It's like impossible for us to return our main couple of contributors. Seems like we go through this every year. Hope the kid makes it back

Could be grades? May be having to focus on schoolwork. Missing Spring won't hurt that much as long as he can stay in shape and continue working out. Need him back in August.

That's also without having Von, Malone, and Vic to replace him...

Three guys with zero experience but alot of talent. Two of which are freshman. Don't get your hopes up thinkin Vic is going to do much as a freshman.

Lol. It's still a lot better than what was behind pig the Oregon game.. They're all more talented... Let's not act like Pig was some 1000 yard guy btw

And no I'm not saying he isn't good or not needed

Honestly we were so thin and undermanned that would have been said about any starter.

Love Pig and hope he makes it back. But I agree with you. 3.5 catches and 32 yds per game shouldn't be too difficult to replace.

Yea really not worried about this. If he comes back great, if not then oh well.

Some of his tweets this week:
3/1- "Going with the flow" "God works in mysterious ways" "God is my witness" 2/28---"My next move gotta be my best move" 2-27---"memories occur when u look back in time, so value and embrace every moment"

Been worried something was brewing - wish him all the best.

His leadership cannot be replaced. Yes catches and yards can but he has SEC game experience and you cannot replace that

Honestly don't recall Pig being referred to as a team leader last year. Maggitt coming back as "the heart and soul of this team" as Butch said should more than make up for Pig. Just want a ton of production from the slot this year.
