Howard has been absent for a large portion of winter workouts. The Vols begin spring practice on Friday. UT’s coaches and administrators have repeatedly reached out to help Howard to no avail, according to the source.-Dave Hooker


Sounds a lot like the Eric Gordon personal problem..

Sorry to post this in here but I can't find it anywhere.

Who is the SR DT who has left the team that Rucker tweeted about? It was a VIP story so I couldn't read it since I'm not a subscriber.

That young man better look to the future and see what a student/athlete drop out has in store for him. Not many who dropped out [not left early w/ agent in tow] have found NFL or business success. Hope he finds his way back.

I watched it on the VFL Films 2013 highlight reel the other night. Was one of the sickest jukes I've seen in a while, really just downright CP-esque. He made about 4 Georgia defenders look like children.

I am sooo tired of reading "leaving for personal reasons" and "has left the team". Yes, I know stuff happens, but unless it is a family or personal health issue (and it may be that, hope not), there is no excuse for creating problems for the team and coaches by your absence or lack of attendance in the workouts. None.

Not sure what is happening but I wish him the best. We need you Pig but make the rigt decision for yourself.

Von Pearson, Jonathan Johnson, Vic Wharton before Smith IMO. Perhaps he can fix the drops/gain Gameday poise/stop being afraid of big boy contact and recover this year to be a contributor.

I just literally have 0% confidence in the kid after witnessing drop after drop after drop after drop after drop after........

Confidence is his issue. Once he restores his Josh will be good.

He'd drop 10 in a row then catch one drop 10 in a row catch one. He was wide open every time too. Imagine if he caught at least 40% of balls thrown his way..

You know, It'd be great to have a completion stat for WRS.

With Wharton and Pearson coming in he better change something. He won't be playing much if he doesn't. A lot more competition this year than last year.

Not sure what's going on with Pig... Hasn't been at school all semester. Hopefully this gets corrected soon. What a great opportunity for this young man playing football for UT. hopefully he understands this and gets his priority straight.
