Pitt Jordan Addison enters portal

Nah.

I'm sick of programs "getting in trouble "
I want to see a strong USC, Tennessee, Miami, and other storied programs.

As a matter of fact I don't want any teams or players getting in trouble.
They don't have to get in serious trouble. They just need to feel like "dang if Addison comes here they may investigate us. Let's let him go"

A lot of teams are getting these accusations, even Barnes got some heat. And I have zero doubt we're doing similar in football.

But it all comes back to plausible deniability. It's like the godfather, the contact is never direct and there's always layers of people passing the word along.
Wonder how the press got the info?

Yep. Especially when the enforcement was done so inconsistently in the past. UNC basketball received less punishment for having fake classes for years than UT got for firing a single coach that lied about a BBQ event.

Playing field is level now, may the best programs win.

No clue, but it should be. If a kid isn't in the portal, coaches or representatives of other teams should not be talking to them. If they are in the portal, then they're fair game.

But how will they know who's bag of cash is the biggest if they don't shop around before entering the portal?

The schools can't technically offer anything, so I find that article a little tough to believe. I mean it wouldn't shock me to find out coaches are bending/breaking the rules, but if Atlius (who partners with USC on NIL) calls up Addison and offers him a 2 million NIL deal, that seems totally legit.

The transfer portal and NIL are killing college football…unless they benefit us, then it’s the most awesome things ever!

And because people didn’t actually watch the last game. If UT had hit their early long throws that game would have looked like Mizzou. Hooker didn’t miss many of those

Also, Hooker didn’t really come around until after the Florida game. And even when he did, he rarely completed passes if his first read wasn’t there…yet he still had a 31-3 TD-INT ratio and 65% completion pct. Wire is, he’s now going through his progressions. He’s going to be incredible this year.

I hate this type of transfer. Kids who can’t get on the field or moving from a lower division up is understandable, but these frustrate me

Agreed. Except this one specifically considering our secondary concerns and his skill level.

But yeah, all the others I hate.
In truth this is the ugly side of nil, transfer rules etc.

This all has fundamentally changed the sport.which is sad.

But...it's the way it is.so might as well be awesome at it.🍊

Everyone swore free agency would ruin the nfl. And it didn’t. That was Goodell who ruined the nfl. Not free agency.

Fundamentally college football really shouldn't be a free for all like it is right now. The NFL is different because it's a professional league. It's a given the players are playing for financial gain.

But like I said...that I don't like it doesn't mean I don't think we should take advantage of whatever opportunities are there for us.
