2nd question: I don't think the article implied that the number of points scored would be impacted by the choice of captains. Maybe you saw it somewhere.

How about playing time, having tape of him playing consistently for scouts, new coaching, and being able to play the game he loves because he couldn’t at his dream school?

Still isn’t a logical way for a winner to think. If I know for a fact that I’m good enough for the NFL, I’m beating the guy in front of me or just waiting my turn. If I’m not, I’ll play when I can, get my free education, have my Bachelors hanging on my wall from the school I grew up loving, and cherish the memories of playing in Neyland Stadium as a Vol.
