Doctors are trained that when dealing with a pregnant patient, that they have 2 patients. Does the unborn not deserve an advocate?

Everyone knows that sexuality comes with responsibility; unless a woman was raped how is a woman being forced into anything she knows is a possibility when sexually active? Abortions are just a way of getting out of a percieved problem created by a consenting person.

When I was in the Air Force they (USAF) said women cant be held responsible for any of their actions, especially if they had a sip of alcohol within the last 24 hours..

Yep. Even the guy that came in the room, sat at the corner of the bar, doesn’t know anyone or paid atttention to the girl playing pool with other people was responsible for whatever happens to her hours later somewhere else.

Why would you argue with a statement made about someone's personal experiences? Do you know more about his acquaintances than he does? I have no knowledge of anyone that I know ever having used their services either.

And let's be clear about what these christian zealots and conservatives are all about. They want to force women--often young, uneducated women with little money and sketchy prospects-- to have babies that, in many cases, they are not in a position to raise properly. The kids are born into bad, dysfunctional families, often with no fathers. They have problems in life. Many of them end up in foster care or migrate to the street, and then find themselves in prison.

So the conservative politicians and moral zealots want to force women to have babies that will grow up with disadvantages--and these same GOP legislators NEVER miss an opportunity to make life even harder for them by constantly trying to cut various social programs designed to help the poor. Conservative (GOP) politicians have nothing but disdain for the poor and disadvantaged---they prove that every day. They have to find money to finance another tax cut for the rich, right? So these conservative zealots reek of hypocrisy. They don't like government meddling with most issues--except when it comes to abortion.

There is a women's clinic not far from my house--and of course a few christian crazies are there fairly regularly, aiming to harass the women in their own not-so-subtle ways. The bottom line is that women don't need the morality police telling them how to lead their lives or what reproductive decisions they should make. Lead your own life and leave women alone.

Or maybe they are simply expecting them to accept responsibility for their actions. Actions have consequences. Maybe a woman shouldn't be willing to spread her legs if she isn't ready or willing to accept the responsibility of raising the child which could result as a consequence of her choice. So you see, they do have a choice of what to do with their body.

I can truthfully say that no person that I have ever known has ever told me that they used the services of Planned Parenthood. I have no reason to think that they have, but I am not with everyone 24 hours a day.
