Do you have anything at all to back this up? What is this based off of?
Noticed there is a slight difference, Osabuohien was dismissed from Arkansas. Don't know if that helps or helps hurts since we don't the facts in either situation.West Virginia received good news today on Gabe Osabuohien. Sounds similar to our situation. Sure would be nice to hear similar news here in Knoxville
Arkansas transfer Gabe Osabuohien ruled immediately eligible - WV MetroNews
The article below says a code of conduct violation. Who really knows what happened, but from what Barnes said in a presser all the former school has to say is there wasn't a spot for that person on the team. I bet Arkansas just said he didn't have a spot. That is a difference but why would the NCAA want to reward bad behavior?

HawgBeat - Musselman dismisses junior Gabe Osabuohien
Musselman was flipping that roster this summer, they had a kid medically redshirt in June to open a roster spot. So who knows what the code of conduct violation is. The violation could have been anything just to get rid of the kid. That isn’t supposed to matter when they are dismissed for poor behavior
Where is his handler that was fired by ASU these days? The NCAA is punishing Plavsic because a former coach was selling a package deal of him and a 7 footer for a job. Seems like the handler and ASU are the guilty parties (or sleezy operators) but the kid is getting the penalty.
I don't think you should call Zolaric (sic) a handler per se. He came here to Cleveland TN as an international exchange student and played at Cleveland High, then went to UGA and played there. He transferred to UTC for either his last year or last two years. He was a GA under Barnes also.
He has been instrumental in getting kids from Serbia into US schools to get exposure, he was technically Plavic's US family rep if I'm not mistaken. That's why he followed Zolaric from Cleveland St to then ASU. Uros barely spoke english when he came to Chattanooga.
UT's argument was when Hurley decided not to renew Zolaric's contract - and Uros talked of a transfer - the response from his HC was "so what". It sounds on the face like they really did not care if he was on the team or not.
I think Izzo is right. He says Pandora’s box is open, probably can’t be closed, and the arbitrary application of the rule is unacceptable. I completely agree with Izzo. The Michigan State coach was so upset over one of his players being denied immediate eligibility (Houser) that he quit a NCAA committee he was on in protest.
