Plavsic denied by NCAA

No they wouldn’t. It was a dumb idea with no standing. If you don’t like the NCAA rules find somewhere else to play or coach.

We'll see you next time the NCAA is picking on UT. Yes they do have standing. It's not an us vs them school issue. This is about the kids who want to play but can't. Explain to me why Uros can't play please.

They couldn't get ASU to say he wouldn't get a spot on the roster this season, like Barnes did for Burns.

Short answer: Because there is an NCAA rule that says if you transfer to another D1 school, you must sit out.

You don't have to like it, agree with it or its "fairness", but it is the rule, and it's why he isn't playing.

He transferred from one Division 1 school to another, and the rule requires anyone doing that to sit out one year unless they are granted an exception, which he was not.

But you are also ok with families accepting $

So what rules do you support ?

Under certain circumstances. Neither were in college. But yes, I think players should be paid something. I don't think it all should be paid from the school either. NCAA needs to give some of that 10.9 billion up.

So just to be clear you are ok with a high school recruit accepting money?

Yea. Look at it like that way. Both were cleared by TSSAA. I don't think some of you people understand that some of these kids families don't have much money at all.

Then all rules need To be thrown out if it’s legal to buy recruits

Didn’t a judge actually get involved with the Tssaa and it was never resolved? Meaning Tssaa never really cleared him

I’m absolutely certain the Tssaa doesn’t allow coaches to pay for players to transfer to their schools. The Tssaa doesn’t allow such recruiting

This is why I don’t like the new money rule.....at all.

It doesn’t do anything to help kids or families that literally have nothing.

The rule will give “big time” kids the ability to get their money sooner (and grant it some of those kids will also be broke ones)......but I just don’t think it helps much. Also the NCAA will be out nothing with the new rule.....they don’t have to do anything or give anything.

You're right actually. It was held up in court. I believe Wiseman went to play AAU with Hardaway and that was the reason given. He enrolled in East where Hardaway was a coach. The loan was given to his mom. I do believe the NCAA should be overhauled or dissolved and start from scratch.

It may help, may not. But the NCAA controls the kids. They can't work, can't sign autographs for money. What the alternative? I know the thought is the kids get a free education. But what the NCAA does is benefit from kids while the kids get not much for what they do for the school/NCAA.

From my seat the kid, the family and penny all are cheaters both in high school and college.

Now if we want to open up lawlessness that’s what at stake here and maybe that’s best

Yea I’m not against the kids getting more benefits or something......but I think that something should be given evenly......or to the poor kids only.

This rule won’t really help D 3 kids, or a poor D 1 offensive guard. Mostly the big time kids, and mostly from skill positions.

I don't know what the answer is. I do think that the NCAA needs to be beat in some aspect by someone. All the universities break the rules to some extent. Look at Duke, Kansas, UNC, and Kentucky in basketball. They are blatantly breaking rules and getting caught. Not really an even playing field. If the NCAA was constant, I may have a different opinion.

I am not really sure what the answer is. Everyone has to benefit evenly.

Btw, LSU is putting a hurting on bama.

I’m down for change but it should be evenly distributed, or distributed to the one who “need”.....but not this way. This way pays those who will get paid anyway.....and will make the recruiting side much worse.

If Memphis is playing their guy, we need to play ours. Period.
