I also loathe UF, and love beating UT. In fact, I won't even drink Gatorade due to the licensing agreement between UF and PepsiCo that still financially benefits UF. That said, I can despise the Gators without acting like an uncivilized subhuman to their fans. It's a game. If you have to be an ahole to the opposing fans, then you should seek some counseling or take up a hobby that allows you to vent your anger.

What kind of QB do you think you're going to get to come here when they know they've got to fight through Milton, Nico and Jackson just to get playing time?

Every fan base has a number of idiots. Don't call out UT fans as if UGA doesn't have its share of these same types of fans. I have been to several games in Gainesville and nothing can match the way in which opposing fans are treated by UF fans (from college students to 70+ year old men).
If you feel the need to preach on a UT message board about how UT fans should act, then maybe you need counseling to overcome your superiority complex.

If they’re looking at getting a qb in the portal it’s bc Milton has struggled and Jackson isn’t ready to be the backup. One year QBing this offense looks pretty damn good to me.

Guys in the portal are generally there due to lack of playing time. A guy coming here won't likely get a chance until/unless Milton fails. Then you gotta beat out Jackson who's familiar with the system...and then there's this 5* guy hanging around who's getting paid $2mill/yr. That's pretty daunting

Brockmeyer, Cohen, Earle, Sanders, Holden, and Leary are all names I can think right off the top of my head UT recruited heavily.
Would love to see some of that talent land on Rocky Top for sure.

The cap on players and the cap on schollys are 2 different caps.

* 85 max scholarships (although we may be under that - self imposed)
*125 max players on the team
* No limits on NIL deals whatsoever.

So, in theory, we could have 85 players on scholly and another 40 with killer NIL deals. Hell, we could have 125 players all earning $1M+.

It's a brand new world ripe for the plucking for those teams with fans and mega boosters willing to pony up.

Given the NCAA got it's butt handed to it over this, and given there is no equivalent of a "salary cap" per the NFL, the NCAA natty can essentially be 100% bought now.

I still say if fans in the NE and far West really loved football like the South, we would see a return to the days of Yale and Harvard ruling the roost again - given their huge $$$ base. How screwed up is that?!

We could give players a million each but our collective is no where close to being able to do that. Doubt they could give 125 players 100K each.. They are begging for donations.

Yeah, it's really strange how sports and competition bring out the lowest form of character in some people. There is always 1 or 2 around you at every home game. Pathetic really.

Harvard and Yale boosters are busy about the business of banking and finance, whereby they are siphoning the wealth of everyone else into their own coffers. Meanwhile we're distracted by athletic events while the transfer goes on. But, I digress. 😏

You been to the swamp for a game? I live in Florida now and have had zip lock baggies of piss thrown at us , ice thrown during games. UT fans are quite mild compared to other places I’ve been.

I've been able to avoid the swamp. It's not hard to imagine you are correct. Baton Rouge can be pretty bad, although the over 35 crowd is relatively pleasant. Actually, I would rate the under 35 LSU as the worst.

I didn't look to see if he was mentioned already or not, so I apologize. JAHEIM BELL!!!!!!! If he's truly in the portal, he needs to be the top priority to replace and improve on Fant's performance from this year. Bell killed us this year and would flourish in Heupel's offense. After him, I would say anyone that has CB beside their name could not be worse than what we had outside of Slaughter and Turnage.

Bill Norton out of Memphis entered the portal today. 300lb DL, seems to be well liked, hard working and solid, just could not crack the starting line up.
