You must not be watching the Alabama games. Their o-line play has been atrocious. Maybe you're saying they have the dudes, and they do. But so far they've been worse than ours. I hope that continues, but it probably won't. They have too much talent to keep playing like that.Whatever you want to call it, it's obviously an issue. We're basically going through what Alabama and UGA are going through as far as a dropoff in offensive efficiency. The difference is that they have O-lines that let them protect and run it enough to get away with not having elite QB play.
I think like Heupel says it takes all 11 guys for each play to work properlyThe date is still small sample thru 3 weeks, but it all evens out. Drops happen every game. Guys catch 5 yard outs and go 50 yards.
I think it's much more on the o-line than the QB, but Milton needs to show more as a 6th year Sr.
JG had good numbers also . Milton is way better than when he came here for sure but that's not Hooker level at all . Joe is not going to take a game over and win for you at all right now his processing of game speed isn't fast enough in this offense . But is we had better play calling and line play he would be serviceable IMOI bet the number of horizontal passes are greater than 64%.
One game, 19-28 251 3 td’s, makes him a Heisman shoe in? You really thought that?Again! Milton looked like a shoe in for the Heisman Trophy in the Orange Bowl. What happened? What hasn’t happened? Besides Right Tackle, this is about the same offensive unit.
It’sa mind thing. If all goes as planned, he’s phenomenal. If things breakdown and he has to process the move, he’s screwed.
Just the facts!

There is also a huge difference that I haven’t seen anyone mention. The new rules about not stopping the clock on first downs and going out of bounds until the last two minutes of each half have drastically reduced the number of plays that our team runs. Last year we averaged about 80 plays per game. This year we’re averaging 59, including 53 plays against AP and 50 against Florida. Obviously this reduces the effectiveness of our up tempo offense as far as tiring out the defense. We have many other problems but I worry that this could really hurt Heupel in the future. What are your thoughts folks? He ran the offense at a high level against Clemson. Now what was the biggest difference in that game? OL was much better and Cooper played. Why is it some fans just have forgotten about that game?
I think the bump was just Haden being Haden, he screwed us so many times last year and he’s cost us this year just in the last two weeks. He shouldn’t being playing. If I’m not mistaking he was called on 3 or 4 PIs against against Austin peay, the INT makes he got seems to make people forget the PIs lolUntil Tim Banks teaches fundamentals like wrapping a guy up instead of bumping him when you're literally the last line of the defense before they score, it doesn't matter. Lots of issues
Ballers are gonna ball, that's what they do.I get that he needs experience but this is NOT the kind of experience he needs. The OL has major issues and is flat out dangerous. The last thing we need is an inexperienced and talented QB to get a major injury for nothing.
Milton is not our future and he probably has no future in the NFL based on his accuracy and decision making but he is HUGE and can take punishment.
Until the OL is fixes we need to start Milton. If he gets hurt and we have to go to plan b so be it but dont risk hurting Nico or giving him a bad experience as a starting QB. This year isnt worth it.
I agree 100%, but now you will become a hater to all the JM, JG sycophants on this forum. They will claim you don’t know anything about football, that you are a low IQ football fan, who just finds it easy to blame the QB. You will hear every excuse as to how JM did not actually step out of bounds against ole piss. You will hear how you don’t have the right to be a fan any longer. How there is no way we can let Nico play because our Oline looks horrible with a stagnant QB in now. It is time for a change at QB, and some of the lost Milton “sunshine pumpers”They are paying Nico alot of money not to be the starter. Now that the Florida game is over and the season is threatening to be a bust, it is time to start Nico and see if he can generate a spark. If not, still best to take his lumps now and get it out of the way, so that he can be ready to lead the team next season.
Twice now, Milton has had a chance to lead and it just hasn't worked out.
