So the theme of this thread is, Milton is not good so let him take the hits. You're a Milton hater because it's ok if Milton gets hit and hurt. He's expendable. The fact is Nico took the money, he is supposed to be the talent, he should be out there starting the next game or at least getting a half of football in the next game. Where do people get the belief that next year our offensive line will be so much better ? Have we got a bunch of 300lb five star lineman signed for next year ? Put Nico out there now and let him learn. Don't want to get hit, get the ball out quicker or scramble. Why do TN fans think that a freshman cannot be a game changer.

The rpo doesn’t really work when the qb doesn’t run, and primarily throws the bubble screen, and can’t compete a pass while on the move

I agree. You're just very fixated that Milton is "the only problem".
Milton has not played good. I'm not arguing that he has.
But neither has the OL, WR and TE.

This is all part of CJH maniacal plan. Drop a bunch of games to lull Bama into a false sense of security then we will beat them. We won’t go to a bowl but hey, you can’t have it all.

The issue with them is that they now have crappier QBs. That's the turnover that is mattering the most in those situations. The issue we have is Joe needs at least 5 seconds to stand in the pocket like an absolute statue on every play to be at his best, and our O-line cannot oblige. One problem is exacerbating another and there goes the offense.

He didn't do anything special that game. Clemson showed up and played dead football and Joe played a run of the mill game and Clemson lost. I think some fans are forgetting that.

With Nico we could roll him to one side avoid the rush. He unlike Joe can throw on the run!

I honestly think we are looking at a 7 and 5 season. Could understand going with zjoe if we thought we could win 9 plus games but that isn’t happening.

At some point I want to go with Nico so he’s not on some steep learning curve next year.

I’d say Bama is somewhere between us and UGA. Their offensive line isn’t as impressive as it was supposed to be.

Not that my opinion matters, but Milton is out after this year anyway. If we are going to have a strugglebus season, I'd rather do it with Nico at QB. At least he get's some experience, and learns to run Heup's offense.

There are several on here that seem to get it and some that don't. Right now, regardless of whether you think Milton could get better or he is garbage and is dragging the team down, there is one FACT from the game. PFF rated every player that played against Florida and Milton graded the highest amongst the rest of the offense, and it really wasn't close. Take that for what you want, but to me that data backs up the argument against starting Nico until some of the myriad issues are fixed, OLINE in particular. 3 of the 5 lowest graded players were "protecting" the pocket.

He was ready to buy some the number one overall player in the nation coming from a place where he consistently played against D1 athletes weekend and week out. He’s been on campus for nearly a year and even went through the entire month of ball practice with the team. If you can’t get a basic package of plays he is very comfortable with running by this point… These coaches aren’t doing their jobs.

You’re buying into all this BS idiots like Hazle are spewing. If you know the basics games (which I’m most certain he does) it’s just becomes all about instincts from there.

And Nico’s athleticism could make a world of difference. It prevents defenses from putting their ears back and coming out the quarterback hard when I know he is a dynamic runner.

Pretty sure we took on a few more student volunteers this year. The ones that run the water out during the timeouts....I think they'd do it....I mean, an upgrade is an upgrade 🤷‍♂️
