Next to impossible with this generation of teenage males.NIL is the reality and possibly needed, but coaching staffs are going to have to manage jealously, feelings of inequities and discontent in addition to winning, maintaining and building programs. Many coaches will fail at dealing with new realities.
Agree... And if they opt out of a game, then they should take it out of there checkThat and they still have scholarships, while others who practice and play don’t.
Somebody with an NIL deal should pay their own bills.
You want this thing to run like a business, fine. Pay your own way and give the schollies to those who need them.
Rant over.
I think he’s saying that scholarships should be used on those without NIL deals and it’s a valid point. The 5 star out there smoking is gonna get his money in NIL that will pay for tuition. I don’t know what the right path forward will be, but I don’t he’s saying that NIL money should be evenly distributedSo you like communism? You want the distribution of wealth amongst players who have less drawing power to be paid the same just because it's fair in your eyes? You believe in taking away people's ability to earn money on their NIL which is constitutionally allowed for all Americans. That sucks for you.
Most of you are just selfish "Preserve the game" who gives a damn if trample on someone's same rights that you would not give up.
OP is an SOB, the title made me think he was visiting another school or something.
I believe it's essential for people to refrain from discouraging others regarding their potential to earn money through NIL. Arguing against player compensation, aside from the perspective that it might "ruin the game," lacks validity. In reality, allowing players to benefit from NIL has fostered greater fairness and increased opportunities. If some individuals find that it affects their perception of the sport, it's important to recognize that football will persist even if they choose not to watch due to nostalgic sentiments.I think he’s saying that scholarships should be used on those without NIL deals and it’s a valid point. That’s why college football is effed up. Kids asking for autographs of players that were here for 6 weeks. Let the 4/5 stars go pro out of the gate and leave us the 2 stars .Why worry about it? Everyone's replaceable now. If anyone leaves these days, they'll just bring in someone else from the portal.
I genuinely don't get why anyone should worry about it anymore.
Thinking about starting a "KEEP NICO IN KNOXVILLE" thread
Make it USC, he's from CA.Spice it up. Tell them A&M is on the warpath. "Sources inside the Aggieland NIL circle have suggested that new head coach Mike Elko has made upgrading the QB position a high priority, and there's belief among the biggest money movers that Iamaleava, having yet to play as a starting quarterback, might be willing to make a change for the right price - a price the Aggies are capable of meeting as they prepare for the new-look SEC in 2024. I spoke with someone at the holiday A&M Suspender Bender who said that "beating Texas is priority number one AND number two," and the collective pockets are wide open to make sure Elko has everything needed to make that happen."
