Police shooting black man in the back ... again (Kenosha, WI)

He wounded an armed man who attacked him. Alternate facts I guess

Exactly when a good percentage of those protesting and rioting are from outside of the community. If those people can come to riot, he can come to protect people and property.

Had he indiscriminately opened fire on peaceful protestors he'd be wrong and I'd condemn his actions........ But that isn't what happened.

It's almost like guns make us less safe.
Only if you’re harassing somebody with a gun. If you’re being harassed by multiple people and you have a gun I’d say you’re more safe than not having one. Take for example this guy shooting three people who were assaulting him. Threat removed!

So does anybody know the prevailing law in cheesehead land with regard to lethal force in defense of property?

I know in TX I can use lethal force for defense of self, others, and my property. I am pretty sure that extends to some degree to the property of others but frankly I never looked close since I’m not gonna shoot somebody for stealing somebody else’s property.

I think in TX this guy would be fine. Especially when he was prone with multiple people over him and having assaulted him.

Good post.

The predicate offenses for felony murder and any seemingly applicable charges (assault?) would be good to look up, too.

So call to arms = call for murder?

There's literally video of him being attacked from behind by at least one armed man (who is ironically now a one armed man)

Actually he surrendered to police after the shooting, who never apprehended him, he'll beat that charge easily as well.
If he went to the police and said “hey I shot those people” that’s a pretty good fact for him, assuming it’s otherwise obvious he‘a the one who did it. Prosecutors love to use flight as evidence of a guilty mind.
