You should travel more both internationally and domestically. Americans and America is not the most racist country, not even close not in the developed world and not in the western world. The northeast is the most racist part of our country not the south.

Last time I checked most of the NE doesn't suck Trumps lil wiener like the south does. You won't find KKK radio in the NE but you'll find these very 'fine people' in Alabama and Arkansas and almost everywhere else in the south. Throw in a few Confederate flags as well. I've been to Korea and Japan, both way more racist than the average American. Most white Europeans are more racist than the average American. The least racist place I have been is central America, Panama, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Belize are IMO less racist than Canada which would be the other country I would rank high on the list of low racism.

If you ever get the opportunity to do business, spend much time and get to know people in Boston, Hartford, Providence or NYC you will understand how racism is ingrained in the NE. I would venture to say they are some of the most segregated areas of the country I have ever been to.
