Politics aside, tonight's speech

I've only caught bits here and there of her show, but I made it a point to watch MSNBC last night to see what they were saying. She's hardcore left.

I've caught her show once or twice. I find her a little more pleasant than Olbermann but that isn't saying much.

she is almost an exact clone of Olberman only without the aspirations of being the next Edward R. Murrow. She's smarter than Keith, but that's not saying much.

Olbermann is great with Dan Patrick but once he starts his political drivel.... well.... you know...

Back maybe 2 years ago Olbermann used to always go on with DP on ESPNRadio. It would be about the time that I had a break from class so I'd always listen. That is where I started with my hate of Olbermann.

It had nothing to do with politics. Every damn show he would try to turn into a Yankees discussion and he'd atleast once a week find some article and call out the writer that was talking down on a team he liked.

He went crazy one day when one writer from Minnesota didn't vote either Jeter or Arod, I can't remember, for the MVP. They had him on the show and the writer took him to task. Got up in his ass pretty good about things. I loved every minute of it.

I looked up a Bio on her today, she's pretty well educated. Rhodes Scholar and all. She isn't dumb, by no means.

Bobby Jindal is a Rhodes Scholar as well, but you wouldn't know it from his presentation last night.

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest, the intellectual level of discourse on Olbermann's show is about a 7. On O'Reilly's it is about a 5. On Hannity it is about a minus 3.

I think Maddow is very smart, but she is trying to copy Olbermann too much and its hard to listen to his glibness for an hour (even if correctly focused) and then hers on top of that, usually on the same subjects.

No, but almost all who follow politics already knew this about him. He is only 36 years old. I think his education is ONE reason why he is a potential presidential nominee in the future for the GOP. That coupled with the positive things he is getting done could make him a formidable candidate in 2016.

oh please. how many times does Olberman invite a contrasting viewpoint on his show? How often does he allow himself to get into an honest debate? OReilly and Hannity may rely on a lot of schtick, but neither of them are afraid to debate an issue.

I would venture to say (for the most part) that people who watch MSNBC want to be talked to in smug elitist tones, because it makes them feel good. It makes them feel smart. Doing that involves throwing around big words and sounding important. Giving off a false sense of intelectualism.

Now, I hate sweeping genralizations, but that's the feel I get from that channel. Everything Olbermann and Maddow say, it's kind of like they end it with that nose up in the air aristocratic f*** you.

You are so freakin' funny!

Here's the thing, I'm over here busting MSNBC's balls and I'm not a huge fan of O'Reilly or really anyone on Fox News.

Edit: Fox News knows how to hire the females. I will say that. Anyone ever watch Fox Business Channel? Nice.

That is why 4 people watch msnbc.

Truefan, Law, TennNC and rdj

i'm actually a big of BBC, but unfortunately I no longer get to watch it.

I'm with Business on the females and Fox News stuff, but for Business info, I've always preferred Bloomberg.

I was talking about the females on Fox Business. They really have out done theirselves.

i think they do well on both channels. I've mentioned many times that I'll watch Fox News in the morning just for Megyn Kelly
