No doubt Mike is everyone's first choice. But a couple of years ago he was named Titans VP of communications along with his announcing job. I don't know how much he makes but I have to believe NFL VP jobs are pretty rare and hard to come by. Hell his perks probably make it worth staying.

Having said that...hell yeah let's go for it.

You guys complain about Kesslings lack of enthusiasm, but say Keith is to enthusiastic.

How much of the hate for Keith comes from the east tn contingent that hates the titans for strange reasons like “Peyton didn’t play there”, “or the didn’t draft my favorite vol”?

I want a true dyed in the wool HOMER this time. No calling it down the middle or being professional. I want someone that when you listen to the broadcast there’s no doubt which team they are for.

If we follow Danny White's track record, he'll hire a highly thought of but relatively unknown guy from a smaller market, not part of the Vol family.

I am one of those who could care less about the Titans. They have never given me a reason to.

This will be a tough hire. Mike Keith probably would not take it unless his love of the Vols is greater than the NFL $$.
Not sure they would move Wilkerson nor am I convinced he would take the job.
There are going to be people wanting the job that have ties to other teams. Hard pass there. Has to be a Vol guy.
I have been away from Knoxville for nearly 20 years so I have no idea who in the local sports media might be a good candidate. We need someone with knowledge, passion, enthusiasm, and loves the Vols. And a great radio voice. Also has to be good at interviews. Tough call.
