NopeAnd simply put, we can trace genealogies all the way back to Adam and we know how old Adam is. Now the bible plainly teaches that Adam was made on day six of creation. In case you don't know how long that is, it's an evening and a morning just like we have today.
Biblically we can say that the earth is roughly six thousand years old.
Now then, you can twist the scriptures if you want to, but I lovingly warn you that you will stand before God with treating his bible deceitfully.
It's simple enough for me, I just believe the bible!
So just to be clear, you want to know if I would change my mind if I had scientific proof against the theology I believe? Is that what you want to know? You can't even acknowledge the point I made. You just have these tired talking points you've likely relied on for years and I went off script but you still go with them anyway.

Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.Nope
That’s reading into the scripture things that clearly are not there.
You’ve got a problem with your literal 24 hours as we are it’s a creation in G-ds time where G-d clearly says that his second is a kin to our 1000 years.
We can disagree on our importance and be friends. For me.. when you look at the observable universe, and laughably attempt to comprehend how big it is, the more I realize we are not divine or of importance. To think so, in my opinion, is very naive.
G-ds time isn’t your time. His days are not your days.Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
It would be dishonest of God if that isn't what he meant.
If it would have been eons, God would have said eons. You would do yourself a great favor and quit trying to twist the scriptures.Bro, this is so bad. You have a super myopic view of the Bible, forget about our origin.
You're taking the Bible totally literally and as if it's offering complete info in order to interpret a 6k year old earth.
Half the Bible is figurative, symbollic, etc. For example, you are interpreting 7 days of creation as literal days when for all we know the 7 days represent 7 eons. Stop letting other believers tell you how to interpret scripture.
We can disagree on our importance and be friends.
As a matter of fact we can completely disagree on everything and still be buddies.
Now back on to the point.
The further we can see through technology advancement, the more stuff is out there.
Torah does say that G-ds creation is without end.
Extensively proven? Perhaps you should study after different paleontologists... And I said roughly 6,000 years. What year is it now?Earliest history directly recorded by man is about 4200 BC. That already puts us past your absurd mark of 6000 years.
Paleontology has extensively proven that man and dinosaurs never coexisted. Your theory has blatant holes.
Eighth graders should be able to read the bible and understand it. It's written on their reading level. It could probably be read and understood by a sixth grader, at least most of it.
You've been deceived about the bible. I challenge you to study the resurrection of Jesus Christ and bible prophecy. If you are still an unbeliever after that, I probably don't have any help for you.Today, here in the US, you are probably correct. But until the 19th century most of the world was illiterate. There’s a reason it was written the way it was.. to trick dummies into falling in line.
And you reading into his work on our days isn’t factual. He's not bound by time, he created time. Yet we are bound by time and he made it pretty easy for us to understand. You don't have to be a scholar to understand the bible. He made so even a child could understand.
