We had a thread for that. Some could not handle it. If you want to discuss it free of arguing about who is right then I’ll tag you elsewhere. If not we can just leave it as (my opinion)
I wondered what happened to that thread. I never saw the discussion and was just curious.

I don’t know what goes on in the depth of Trump’s heart so I cannot really judge any relationship he might have with the Lord. But the outward signs of his pride and behavior certainly do not LOOK like what I would expect from someone closely following Christ.
That said, I am voting for President, not Pastor. The most Christian President of my lifetime (Carter) is as also one of our worst Presidents. The job descriptions are different.
It is indeed better to have a national leader of strong faith. But America’s problems are caused by a falling away of a large number of Americans from the faith. Leadership is merely a reflection of the national makeup. A Christian leader cannot help a nation without a large number of Christian followers.

Amazing how in just a few short years he can go from Worst to 3rd worse. Barry had worst for awhile but Biden said hold my beer.

I probably disagree with you, but I'm sure I can handle the topic. After all, only god knows for sure.

there is no god....and even if one wanted to humor that fantasy, real people don't need any outside help to see the obvious.

sure they do, even your world view says otherwise. how many people rely on the government to tell them what to think or feel? How about the media? How about someone they put in a white lab coat for a press conference? our society is built on the reliance of outside help to see the obvious, our government has sculpted our nation to be dependent on them.

Can you prove there's no god?
can you prove there isn't a spaghetti monster who rules us all?

even as a believer I dislike when someone asks to prove a negative.

it literally can't be done. there is a reason our justice system has us as innocent, typically the negative (didn't do it) assumption, as the baseline.

You shouldn't conclude anything one way or the other when theres no way of reasoning about it. That's where faith comes in.

Our justice system has a rational method of reaching a result one way or other based on evidence, and isn't really comparable to religion because of that.

so if you are separating out the discussion about God from a rational method.

would you accept someone else's faith as proof? as that is all you offer to support your stance.

The burden of proof is on you, dude---not on us. You want me to prove there isn't a purple alien standing in the street when everyone
can see that there's not. There is not a scintilla of proof of a "god"---and there never will be. If you chose to belief in the tooth fairy, it would
be no different from believing in "god." One can choose to belief in anything--no matter how illogical--and unless you can prove it, it doesn't exist. "God" is a completely preposterous concept--born of fear of mortality--if we're honest.
