No, she's a special kind of stupid. There are some intelligent people talking about it but she won't ever be one. Her constituents should be ashamed

It is already a big part of some locations. Our Surabaya would not need to be lowered to move away from fossil fuels. We just need to move toward alternatives while weaning ourselves off of them. Then you spread that knowledge to the rest of the world

Maybe our worldly charity work should start to include cleaning it up and passing on a better earth to the future

If she is that stupid, then why are you defending a misrepresentation of something she said?

Shouldn’t her statements be dumb enough without misrepresentation?

I'm not defending anything. It's pretty clear she also misrepresented the issue to make a point to the morons who would show up to listen to her

So, over the last 15-20 years with all the subsidies, government handouts, investments, etc. in solar and wind power.

Questions: How much output has come online over that time period?

Answer: ---> Zero. <---

Net output in this country has not really gone up in 15-20 years, yet the populations has increased 40-60m. Energy output is nosediving per capita. In turn, they want to massively increase raw energy usage i.e. EVs.

Solar and wind is basically a scam for rich people to get richer.

She is just simplifying the issue, solar/wind isn't going to help.... matter of fact, its the source of the problem.

She ignores the very simple solution of how to capture energy. It's also not an all or nothing situation

For many it is and therefore it needs to be pointed out that the “all green” option that many are pushing for is unreasonable

That is simply not correct. The issue really is the constant change in regimes and their goals. Change takes time but it's working against the entrenched energy lobby and short term goals of politicians

There is no incentive to invest in traditional energy output (natural gas, oil, coal, nuclear) as the forces that be are putting in roadblocks to stop it. Solar/wind are not going to work at scale with current technology. Meaning unless you want half your check to go to energy consumption.

Energy output is not going up because one option you don't get a return or a negative return, the other option is massively higher prices which won't work at scale.

Its called fraud. Rich people are using the fraud to get richer.

The end goal is not solar/wind, its control and depopulation.

She's one of the more intelligent ones.
My actual reaction to this gem

All or nothing is the unreasonable stance from both sides. We need all to make strides if we're to advance and maintain this planet

What's the problem?

What is going on is a solution looking for a problem. The problem I see longer term (100-250 years) is getting off of fossil fuels but if investments had been done as they were... energy would be super cheap right now. There was no rush, so they produced a problem. Rich people will get richer, and eventually this will lead to depopulation on a massive scale.

The "green agenda" is garbage. We need more actual common sense solutions. Keep in mind these left wing radicals get more and more radical. There's no telling what agenda they will try and push next. You know like cow farts. Oh wait.

Where have I brought up anyone's agenda on the left? I've simply started that alternative energy should be a goal for the future

Can you prove that the alternative energy will work? What data can you provide to back up any claims you are making?

Super cheap but dirty energy is not a maintainable solution. Had we invested intelligently in alternatives that would likely be much cheaper as well. Saying it's just a long term problem is how we got here in the first place

What do you consider long-term?

That simply isn't what is going on today.
They are causing (creating) problems, with a solution that doesn't solve the problem(s) they created.

So, if this continues much further what are the chances of a massive depopulation event(s). I would say very high.
