So Burns' agent is really full of bad advice.

The agent appears to be giving himself good advice $$$ and Burns' bad advice...

To tell Burns to pack up his bags go to play at another school for a year is really screwed up when knowing that the Tennessee Staff has Burns best interest at heart.

They have supported him, coddled him and protected him from a disastrous season turning it into a big plus moving forward. Tennessee has programed him for success and moving to another school may not have the same results.

The grass is not always greener on the other side. He is settled here knows the dynamics why start fresh with potentially only a year left. The degree is a huge change to the story and knocked out two potential schools as I understand it. So LSU or Vols.

No. We all have our opinions. I simply think about the players. Not wrong, just my take. Yours is not wrong, it’s your take.

For example: Some see the program bringing in a catcher (Peebles) and how that elevates us (which it does) I think more about the other guys that were also recruited like Ryan Miller, Cal Stark, Charlie Taylor, etc. I suspect those guys will stay as a backup or hit the portal.

And I will add, as I said in a previous post, Tony will thrive in this new era of NIL & Portal. He is the new wave of NCAA coaches regardless of the sport. Old school is out, new school is in. As I also said, it has an impact in other areas but that's the price to be paid when building a championship team that needs to win now (well, 2024), and that is what he is paid to do.

Tony will thrive, you spend too much time discussing and promoting your take without knowledge. It's okay but you act as if you speak from 1st hand knowledge when it is just your opinion. Add that along with some of your thoughts on NIL are so obvious and it does not take a Rocket Scientist to see it.

Side Note: No way Burns returns. I suspect he’s visiting schools in the SEC/ACC/Big 12 and I’ll bet it’s huge $. Decision has to be made by July 31 I believe.

Since the portal really took off I’m pretty sure the vols have only lost 1 guy they actually desperately wanted to keep. And the burns thing is complicated. What you said is simply wrong

I assure you those guys will get chances in fall ball. Tony V doesn’t promise guys jobs and has proven many times no matter who you are if you aren’t performing he does what’s best for the team. His job is to bring in as much talent as possible and then to sort through that talent. I know people who have played for Tony and there are current players parents on this board. All I have ever heard is that he has high standards but is extremely fair and loves competition, and if you perform better than the other guys at your spot, you will play no matter what your ranking was

Hmmm....nah. Even for top shelf whiskey I'm not going past $200 for a bottle. I do have a few bottles that go for north of $300, but those were gifts. For wine, I'll pop for $25-30 for a box or bottle tho.

Doubt it. We have two open rotation spots right now. Holman will have a spot here regardless of Burns’ decision.

So just recruit high school players only and get left behind while the rest of the country is recruiting portal players? Do you know how much sense that makes? It’s Tony V job to put the best team in the field every year.
When you look at this year recruiting class, it still is high school majority. But if you don’t utilize the portal you will be left in the dust.

It's not just that. I'm assuming Holoman and one or two other pitchers. Over half the guys who are going to be the main players on this team are portal guys just chasing a check. It's not right.

Go watch the NFL or MLB then. This is the life of college athletics and it’s not going anywhere. It’s an arms race at this point now.
