I understand we are at the point of just disagreeing with anything I post stage of things

but you are too dang smart to not admit that the current roster isn’t a factor in one’s decision to accept professional opportunities. It’s too obvious sorry

We’re disagreeing because basically everything you are saying is an attempt to discredit this coaching staff or cast aspersions on their integrity. So, you’re right, I can’t get behind the idea that we are uniquely bad actors in how we recruit and retain kids. Because we aren’t.

Also, playing time might be a factor in a decision to go pro or not, but 1) money is always the bigger factor and 2) “playing time” is certainly different than just straight up blaming the transfer portal. There is no guarantee Rucker was going to start at 3B even if Amick didn’t come here. There are plenty of other talented kids in his own recruiting class he would have to beat. So, no, I don’t buy the idea that this is a “playing time” decision. It’s mostly going to be a money decision.

Ask @sjt18 why he is obsessed with arguing with @BelieveTheHeup93 or @LittleVol or whoever it is. Some posters have too much of a presence, with too much of an ego, and some of us don’t want to use the ignore button but then can’t help but argue with the person. No offense to @sjt18, I have no doubt you are probably right and fighting the good fight 95% of the time.

I would argue that with the 2024 and 2025 classes being filled with elite players finally, and the success of the program paying off, you’re probably going to see a lower rate of turnover. Either way, turnover doesn’t have to be inherently bad especially if the players themselves don’t seem to have a problem with it. They wanted to come here and try and compete at the highest levels. It didn’t work out for someone of them and now they are going to find spots at places that are better fits. Seems fine to me.

You have to imagine going through the process that these kids know what they are signing up for. Not like TV feeding them a bunch of lies. Otherwise we’d hear about it and kids wouldn’t come here. I agree, not an issue, definitely seems like a white knighting argument. Kids know what the game is and that’s the game you gotta play if you want to play big time ball, especially in the SEC.

I don't argue with @LittleVol much.

Obsessed? Nah. I just enjoy it. I get some angst out with pretty harmless banter. Only two posters have "bothered" me... in the anonymous for fun only way... BTH and D4H. Both for the same reason. Even in real life I don't like it and frequently challenge people who try to assume their facts. Who arrogantly think they "know" more than they can possibly know... then make ironclad declarations about how things are.

Ego? What do you mean and who are you referring to?
