Maybe not. But again you’re making just as many assumptions as anyone else here. The only point being made is, quite simply, that the transfer portal has nothing to do with Rucker staying or going.
They needed Dickey to be a middle of the order productive bat. Weren’t getting that when he was trying to catch too. Opted for Stark who was not a good bat at all, but it unlocked Dickey so was a trade off that they needed to make. Stark was pretty good behind the plate too all things considered
I understand we are at the point of just disagreeing with anything I post stage of things
but you are too dang smart to not admit that the current roster isn’t a factor in one’s decision to accept professional opportunities. It’s too obvious sorry
Ask @sjt18 why he is obsessed with arguing with @BelieveTheHeup93 or @LittleVol or whoever it is. Some posters have too much of a presence, with too much of an ego, and some of us don’t want to use the ignore button but then can’t help but argue with the person. No offense to @sjt18, I have no doubt you are probably right and fighting the good fight 95% of the time. What confuses me if there is that much disdain for the poster, why does everyone insist on replying to the individual. Obviously the poster thrives on arguing I bet the posters spouse wears ear plugs!!!
You have to imagine going through the process that these kids know what they are signing up for. Not like TV feeding them a bunch of lies. Otherwise we’d hear about it and kids wouldn’t come here. I agree, not an issue, definitely seems like a white knighting argument. Kids know what the game is and that’s the game you gotta play if you want to play big time ball, especially in the SEC.I still do not see this as the major issue that you claim it to be and I also think there is a certain degree of nuance that you are willfully ignoring to make your case bashing TV. From 2018 - 2021 TV was building this program. The program wasn’t in a healthy state like it was for Florida or Vandy, two of the iconic powers in college baseball. TV probably recruited to the best of his ability, but we still weren’t recruiting on the same level as those programs and our talent gap was still large.
I would argue that with the 2024 and 2025 classes being filled with elite players finally, and the success of the program paying off, you’re probably going to see a lower rate of turnover. Either way, turnover doesn’t have to be inherently bad especially if the players themselves don’t seem to have a problem with it. They wanted to come here and try and compete at the highest levels. It didn’t work out for someone of them and now they are going to find spots at places that are better fits. Seems fine to me.
I don't argue with @LittleVol much.Ask @sjt18 why he is obsessed with arguing with @BelieveTheHeup93 or @LittleVol or whoever it is.
