The feds are going to have a field day with these kids in the coming years.
they are receiving 30k or more a month in many cases and given 1099s…

I hear what you’re saying (in the whole post from which I excerpted the above) and agree obviously that there are going to be good kids on every team, etc. And it’s great that Kirby has good relationships with guys on other teams — that’s a cool thing about sports, for sure.

But I’m just a Vol fan — and to your point, I don’t know Chase Burns at all, so I don’t know why Chase Burns should feel entitled to my approval or support — or why he should particularly care. I’m sure there are lots of good guys that have played for Bama and Florida over the years (), but I’m not in the habit of rooting for them to have success. It’s not personal — it’s just that I’m a Vol fan.

(Sorry for picking on Chase Burns here — it’s not really about him… just responded to the comment quoted above with my perspective.)

This is me. If you're a Vol, I'll probably love you forever, but if you're not a Vol, I'm apathetic towards you. If Burns goes elsewhere, and that's still an if at this point, I don't wish him ill, but I also don't "wish him the best". My best wishes are reserved for the Vols.
