It's just speculation with Burke but there's been rumblings he's homesick and might portal closer to home

I'm not Tony V, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to wait on a kid until late July especially if something comparable enters the portal. I think Holman should perform his due diligence, but do it efficiently and quickly. Decide where he wants to spend next year and get it done. If a kid wants a second round of recruiting love, that's fine, but they might have to settle for a spot on team that wasn't their first choice.

We've seen kids hop into the portal who reportedly have tonnnnns of potential but for whatever reason haven't been able to realize it. This will be a big off season for Burke. That was a helluva slump he endured and his fielding was a bit spotty at times to be polite. They say the greatest jump comes between the first and second years. Hope that's true for him and he becomes the force we hope he can be.

The entire family is happy. Absolutely no indication orherwise after spending time with them in Omaha. Blake's little brother also wants to come to UT to play ball.

Nice that he's able to catch as well as play the infield, but I'm still trying to figure out where the staff is recruiting him to play. Know it likely depends on who they feel good about from the youngsters, what Denton does and who else enters the portal, but we really need to find a really solid SS. He's certainly got the bat which is a great start.
