Portal Activity (News and Rumors)

McKee alluded to him having 5 agents/advisors in 4 years and firing one 1/2 through his college career. Also said the returning players will take some advil and get over the headache that was in the locker room this year. A lot starting to come out now and the more it does the more apparent it becomes this divorce is the best thing for the program moving forward.
Richard West said they shipped it to LNS in this box

I think a lot suspected this. I posted a week or so ago that it was obvious to me that something was wrong just by watching the dugout. There was rarely any interaction between Burns and his teammates in the dugout. He appeared to be by himself most of the time and just viewing the dugout something seemed off.

Basilio has said...and obviously this is only a rumor since I wasn't ever present in the dugout...that Burns was in the dugout during games in the second half of the season actively saying he was going to transfer and that he was headed to LSU.

Take that with as large a grain of salt as necessary, but if even remotely true, I can't believe one of his teammates didn't knock his front teeth out and tell him to get packed. I couldn't hardly believe it when I heard it, but these kinds of comments from McKee seem to lend a little credence to the kind of distraction Burns might have been. To the level of openly talking of transferring and naming his choice in the middle of games??? Perhaps not, but maybe so. This whole thing sounds ugly the more and more you here, even if only partially true.

Maybe he’s a dog person. 😛

Between breaks, bites and belching on air, he drops a rumor and wants everyone to know he's "connected". Yeah, Basilio is a real pro. Certainly a guy to believe.

Don't remember saying he was. And I prefaced my post by saying take it with a grain, pebble, boulder of salt. I don't believe much of what Tony has to say on football, but he's pretty plugged into the baseball team, believe it or not.

Basilio is right on this one.

It's a Beech High School thing........

I'm not Tony V, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to wait on a kid until late July especially if something comparable enters the portal. I think Holman should perform his due diligence, but do it efficiently and quickly. Decide where he wants to spend next year and get it done. If a kid wants a second round of recruiting love, that's fine, but they might have to settle for a spot on team that wasn't their first choice.
It won’t be late July. Portal closes on 7/13 and Team USA season is over on 7/12.

Not surprising given it seems like he's had his mind made up about leaving for a while.
