Take that with as large a grain of salt as necessary, but if even remotely true, I can't believe one of his teammates didn't knock his front teeth out and tell him to get packed. I couldn't hardly believe it when I heard it, but these kinds of comments from McKee seem to lend a little credence to the kind of distraction Burns might have been. To the level of openly talking of transferring and naming his choice in the middle of games??? Perhaps not, but maybe so. This whole thing sounds ugly the more and more you here, even if only partially true.

McKee said on the Swain show this week that there was an attempt at a football locker room style reckoning between him and some players. So it sounds like someone might have tried something. He’s putting a lot out there this week that if he’s wrong is going to be a very bad look.

Coaches TV and FA probably don't need any help in recruiting. They have done a fabulous job of bringing in talent. That is again highlighted (as reported earlier in this thread) with Florida and Tennessee leading in the Amick sweepstakes.

However given that Billy Amick ( reported by several posters) only wants to play 3B, the news that Alabama freshman (3B and 300 + hitter) transferred to Florida this week has to help our cause.

Alabama must love to lose quality 3B. Second season in a row.

What we do know is something wasn't right in the locker room. It got fixed enough to have a good 2nd half of the season and get us to Omaha. It will be hard to know what it was. Hopefully we don't repeat it.

It’s only natural to want more I guess. Given what you mentioned, shouldn’t we be happy? If winning the whole thing is all that matters, not even LSU fans end up happy every year.

I have to be honest, before I die, I would love to see us win it all in all 3 major men's sports. '98 was special, and I want to feel that again, but I also want to experience it with basketball and baseball. That would be special, and I could die happy.
