In his case I don’t think so. The reason I saw he’s terrible goes back to the Kentucky when he was unwilling to take on the qb up high. On about 7 different occasions he and the qb were in a collision course. Every single time Beasley dive at his ankles. And every single time the qb went over the top of him for an additional 4 or 5 yards. Several of those yards after contact were the different in converting on crucial downs for them. I’ve probably watched thousands of college football games and I’ve never seen a middle linebacker unwilling to take on a qb. It’s almost as surprising that I guess none of our coaches approached him on the sidelines to talk about that. It literally could e been the difference in the game. So no…he’s not going to become a legit middle linebacker. It’s a mentality
