Depth on both lines would be my preference. Bring in guys that are already P5-size and have some experience. That way we don't have to wait on underclassmen to bulk up, or lean on walk-ons to do the impossible in this league.

TX A&M shows signing 27 HS players in their class. I thought the max was 25 in a given year. Is that subject to various special considerations the NCAA is allowing like they seemingly always do or is A&M having to push a couple of recruits into next years class?

The total number can be 32 this year for everyone, if they fall under the guidelines--25 signees and 7 from the portal. Anyone can replace up to 7 players from the portal, if they lose 7 or more to the portal for this year only.

Help wanted sign for LB's .. The one glaring hole.. Need a safety, probably a DB and a speedy receiver with hands.

We already have that WR with Tillman. He was there all along but no one even thought about him before the season. Point being, we may already have enough talent on the team and no one knows it until they get an opportunity to shine.

a WR, two LB's, a DB/S, and a couple of OL/DL.... too many in the portal or will be in the portal after the bowl games not to be able to upgrade and get what we want... anyone a little nervous about only having Hooker and if he goes down we only have Milton and a true Frosh?

You only get replacements if they are declared academically eligible by your compliance and signed by another school is what I have heard. Some have said by D1 school.
