Insert Spillman and Burns along with the 3 young LBers. I agree we need to be more athletic on the 2nd level but I think we have it on the roster already. Just young but Spillman and Burns both will be redshirt freshman with another year in the weight room come fall.

As far as WR, I'm not sure someone wants to come to be a rotational backup player. If Webb and/or Nimrod leaves we have to get someone but if not, I think we roll with who we have imo.

We will probably need 1-2 DTs from the portal though. I'm on record that I'm ready to see the youth movement on the OL but I think we take atleast 1 IOL from the portal. Other than that (without a lot more ppl leaving) don't see the NEED at other postions.

There will be talent at WR in the transfer portal this season.

And we need another guy to add since we're losing Thornton. Webb/Nimrod don't have that big play ability.
It was supposed to be Leacock but hes been injured and even when healthy hasn't been able to get his way into the field like Mike Matthews.

Need a guy to pair with Matthews imo

Did Spillman qualify for a redshirt? I.e., no more than 4 games played?

There's nothing that Webb can't do. Good size and 100 meter state finalist. WHY he cant seem to get it together is a mystery.

Unless our staff tells the player he will start, I doubt most kids transfer to sit the bench. I honestly think Sampson comes back. He will make more NIL than a rookie contract at 4th or 5th round.

Agree our LB room is going to be VERY talented.

Its not the amount of the rookie contract. He's not going to postpone the start of the 2nd contract.

Two unknowns kind of reinforces the fact we need more LB’ers.

And they’d be apart of the rotation, just as Brazzell was. Quite the risk to run it back knowing Nimrod and Webb would be apart of that rotation.

Remind me, please, is the year they’ve pushed the portal recruiting back? It really is insane to think that coaches have to prep for conference championships and/or the playoffs or a bowl game all while heavily pushing current players to stay and recruiting new ones from the portal.
