I’m not going to pretend to know much about a bunch of these transfers, but ratings don’t mean a whole lot. Suggs from LSU had the same number of sacks as Omari, Eason, and Simmons combined. Before you ask, those sacks came against UCLA, A&M, and Arkansas. If Rodney evaluates him and wants him, then he would be a good rotational DT.

Which means he should be considered a potential impact player for sure

He only got playing time because someone got hurt.

He left because he didn’t get enough playing time. There’s a reason why he’s ranked in the 200s.

He’s meh. We don’t have to spin everything in a positive light.

You just look at rankings, which guys have no clue how to rank 4,000 transfers. I do the research. The staff has hit on Norman Lott and Moi on the DL. I will trust them.

I don’t spin everything in a positive light because I know the OL hasn’t been great and Nico needs more work. But thanks.

No I don’t look at rankings. I like at other information across boards.

Go read LSU boards. Some liked him, some were glad he left. He was 3rd or 4th string. He didn’t play till someone get hurt. He left.

He will play in a 10 man rotation with one of the best coaches there is. I will trust Rodney.

Yeah that’s ****ing pathetic.

Imma say it, Suggs is awful. Ranked 200s in portal rankings. That’s not how you win.
McCoy was rated 130 overall and like the 14th best CB in the portal last year. Lott was ranked outside the top 300 in the portal.

Portal rankings are trash. More than half players barely have any tape to go off of. Micah Hudson had like 8 catches this year and he is the 17th overall rated portal player.

I’ll give it to you.

Suggs isn’t how you get better though. Go and throw money at Woods. He will be in sometime this week.

Anyways, hoping PSU snags him.

I don’t think I am
We didn’t blow up passing u til Hyatt took the nest step
Tillman was considered a top NFL prospect that season and fell down draft boards because Hyatt had a big year out of nowhere. He was the best receiver we had until Hyatt started stacking multiple touchdown games.

Alright, show me where we’re top of the nation? Because so far all I’m seeing is 1 maybe 2 IOL from the portal and 1 5* in the recruiting class, while everyone else is out here picking high caliber talent.
There are all kinds of list. Spyre is generally in the top 2-3 in them. We certainly aren’t 15.

I don’t think any analyst felt Tillman was a first round talent, and his fall down draft boards was because of injury (he only played 6 games in 2022)

Tillman got hurt. Hyatt doesn’t have that type of season with a healthy Tillman

We’re up there. Idk that any list is super accurate. Tennessee, Oregon, Texas, Ohio State, A&M, Michigan, Georgia all can swing major money around as far as NIL. Also have some people like Miami that have one booster that just buys kids. Texas and Oregon will not only spend heavy but have a lot of extra perks that sway kids as well.

Yep extremely hard to rank transfers. Now with unlimited transfers, can’t even just put a guy higher with more years either making it even tougher
