If someone is running to family and friends in hopes of gaining some credibility and validity by repeating what someone on a message board said, they may have a different problem entirely which would also make them look like a fool. Also just a hunch lol

I only bet on sure things and fixes, and I’d put a $100 on that scenario happening more than once.

How many more times do you need to see them predict a commit or let us know one of our players are entering the portal before it’s announced publicly before they’re not considered an “anonymous poster” anymore?

I’m not going to go dig up the post, but I remember him stating before that he quit believing in “insiders” bc he got burned too often.

The reports that the coaching staff believe he’s only scratched the surface of his ability, for starters. Thornton improved between year 1 and year 2 at Tennessee (was just hurt too much).

It amazes me how many fans don’t account for player improvement. It’s like y'all think every player arrives as a finished product and will be that for the rest of his career.

At 20 years old too. Good grief. Sure thought I was grown then (as young men do,) but I didnt have a clue at 20 and had not even scratched the surface of my ability in really any aspect as a man. These kids can still break out as juniors and seniors...and usually DO. The ones who see the field early are rare talents or only on the field because there isn't a more experienced player with similar ability. How many 4* guys younger than him did Brooks beat out for every snap this season? How many 3* guys? Most offensive and defensive linemen arent even expected to compete for a starting job until their junior year. Theres a HUGE difference between Cooper and a 330lb freshman or sophomore. Not in size, or even strength...in skill. In wisdom from experience. In maturity and preparation. We forget that these are just kids when they come to UT. Most of them leave as young men. Some leave as boys.

I will not deny that. But what if we lose Brazzell or Mike Matthews, because we play Boo on offense now. Probably won’t affect them at all.

Just a what if, is that still worth it?

I’m more afraid more of losing Staley. He looked electric in the Ohio St game and plays the most likely position as Boo would play (slot)

Our defensive gameplan and play calling was awful. Brooks Austin (film guy), Swain and many others said as much. Put our corners on islands man on man with no help over the top.

Why not do what Michigan did? Makes no sense

Eric, maybe you can help me understand. If Spyre is doing so well and is one of the top collectives, how is it other teams are able to outbid us so frequently? And why do we need players to take discounts for us to keep them? This isn't an attack on Spyre. Do we just not have enough money in the coffers? Are these schools just that much better off than we are financially?

Now I realize our roster isn’t as good but the defensive gameplan was also terrible and little to no adjustments were made

Well that's not me but I don't see it with Brazzell over 13 games. Like I didn't see it with Nimrod or Webb. All were/are JAGs. Hope I'm wrong about Brazzell tho.
