'25 Portal Thread

I’ll be real with you guys, Nico loves this place and fanbase. He’s well taken care of $$$ wise. Only way he’d leave is if we fail to get him proper weapons around him and he feels like he has to for his career. He and his family 100% met with people, but they simply wanted to know what the plan was regarding the portal. The family got answers they were satisfied with, let’s see what happens.
Then we can thank Nico for the upcoming maneuvering.

I think Pope is a young coach who is still learning. I think it’s fair to criticize our WR production, development and the outflow we’ve had. That said, assuming Mike Matthews comes back, I don’t think we lost anyone I actually care about (I’d much rather see Staley, Brazzell or a transfer in the slot next year). So I actually don’t care about the guys leaving “liking him” as much as I do the production and development, which doesn’t get high marks for me this year.

Why do we have a young coach that’s “learning” on our staff? At a place like this we should have an experienced and good WR coach. I assume we just like his recruiting at this point.

hes learning, alright. Been ugly.

Our fanbase going after the Vol Club/Spyre is one of the dumbest things I've seen us do. I'm sure it's just a vocal minority but the spread of misinformation on social media right now around those guys is not great.

They’ve no doubt been a one of the top NIL collectives in the country when you look at an athletic program as a whole. Frustrating comes from knowing Ohio State spent several more million dollars and kicked our ass. But people need to understand Ohio State has had an elite foundation for decades, we had to rebuild ours from the ground up. With that being said, I would like to see us Spend a lot more and try to capitalize on Nico’s time here. I’m eager to see what the plans are.

I’d be willing to bet OSU spent the vast majority on football. We spread it around to a bunch of high achieving programs.

So players are gonna believe what fans say on Twitter. Come on get real
Players and coaches/staff of other schools are going to use every bit of ammunition possible. Our dumba$$ fans spreading the BS, and even bringing it here and adding their own personal touches to slander an individual are all part of the problem in the big picture.

I know @Freak wants engagement on his website, but dang, at what point do these individuals get dealt with, clicks be damned?

Is Schiano our head coach?
Looks like we found one ‘X’ hero

EDIT: I saw you respond to another stating you had no social media and your reasoning behind the above statement. I errantly made the assumption that the quoted statement was a “look at what we did with Schiano” statement justifying our ‘X’ idiots. Apologies.
