Matthews is a former 5 star (assuming he comes back)Would be nice if we would invest in getting Nico weapons like UF does for Lagway

Staley was a top 100 recruit.
Ethan Davis was a 4 star TE and we have.
In this incoming class we have two 4 star WRs and two 4 star TEs.
We also brought in Brazzell last year who was a well regarded portal transfer.
Reportedly we are also going all in for Branch, who is the # 2 rated portal WR and a former top 10 overall recruit (the top WR recruit in Nico's class).
The notion that we don't invest in weapons for Nico is not grounded in reality.
We’re actually bringing in three 4* WR recruits in the 2025 class if you go by On3, which rates Dodson as a 4*.Matthews is a former 5 star (assuming he comes back)

And the people here complaining about vol titter are eating it up, making assumptions, and posting out of their ***es about it on VN-social-media.Man, trying to read AP's comments... talk about saying something without saying anything.
Again, there's only so many reps to go around. Barring injury or lack of position depth, no staff in the country is going to play a true frosh more than a productive upperclassman. MM may have wanted to have more reps, but he also wasn't riding the pine. The stubbornness of the offensive staff to play young players is hurting us. It’s just how it is in the new NCAAF. The defense doesn’t suffer from that except for a bit in the backfield and isn’t suffering the same transfer woes.
I would say they are better than Pruitt’s team in 2019. Pruitt didn’t beat an Ole Miss or an LSU level team. But I agree with your overall point. Folks may be overrating what they did, especially given the Texas result.
Unless Banks gets a HC position, I don't see any changes, unfortunately. I can see Pope being given another year, as he's still young. Hazele and Elarbee have been with CJH forever.Unless Banks leaves, sure the “staff change” will be either Pope and/or Elarbee. I’d maybe put Hazle after them.
Banks has had a contract, on his desk for weeks. Fact.Unless Banks gets a HC position, I don't see any changes, unfortunately. I can see Pope being given another year, as he's still young. Hazele and Elarbee have been with CJH forever.
But if CJH made one change this year, we desperately need an upgrade to the OL coach...it's been a consistently bad for years. Elarbee neither recruits nor develops players (at the ultimate development position).
Perhaps. But unfortunately I trust Billy as a coach way more than I ever trusted Pruitt. I never bought into the Pruitt hype. Didn’t trust the hire from the beginning. They beat Ole Miss thanks to their defense stepping up and forcing 3 TOs. But UF had only 344 yards of total offense. If you re-watch that game, you'll see that OM beat themselves.
They didn't beat anyone else of note and they got throttled by Texas. This is Pruitt circa 2019. They "finished" strong by beating mediocre teams and everyone thought we were on the up and up. But we quickly found out that was fools gold in 2020.
I saw a team that kept playing hard for Napier this year. There were many times I did not see that with Pruitt. He was such a jerk, that I don’t think he ever really had buy in.Perhaps.
