he isnt trash. i believe he was rated the #1 wide receiver coming out of JUCO a couple of years ago. Sometimes these kids need a couple of years to figure it out. i will rely on our coaches to make that decision. i can second guess them but they know better than I do when it comes to personnel decisions

Lol everyone freaking out over MM and the state of the WR room, then get news about the former No. 1 JUCO player who actually put up as good or better numbers in 2024 than any of UT's returning WRs despite having horrendous QB play at FSU and all the reactions are "eh" or "yuck."

Y'all make me laugh. No I don't think he's amazing based off his college career, but he would be a solid addition IMO.

To add to this: Benson had a 10.4 time in the 100m, was the No. 1 JUCO prospect when he signed with Bama, and was 2nd on the team at FSU last season in receptions and receiving yards because FSU's passing offense was atrocious. They averaged a whopping 180 pass yards a game, dead last in the ACC and 116th in the country.

Stats almost never tell the whole story. With MM likely gone, Benson would bring experience as a 3rd year JUCO guy taking advantage of the new JUCO rule just passed and could be a legit deep threat target. At worst, I think he could be a Javonta Payton type of contributor.

IF he comes to UT. This is all just based off one person saying he's visiting, not even that he's committing.

His Hutchinson highlights were pretty electric.

He had a lot of camp hype at FSU but obviously didn’t have anyone to get the ball to him. I don’t mind this one at all.

It will be interesting because he has had a few blank years and will be stepping into his most important role later in his career
