You lose Matthews then bring in some mid major depth pieces and you’ll have a lot of people donating say F it. If we can’t keep talent or bring in talent WTF are we even doing?

I feel like Spyre lands someone amazing though. Just about have to, if you’ve made assurances to Nico that you’re serious about getting him help.
I dont understand how we can remain status quo. Lack of development and recruiting is very bad on offense.

DL was arguably better last year 🤷‍♂️

RG is the best position coach on staff. So don’t get it twisted. I’m simply saying you can’t contribute it all to the DL this year
That’s a tough one. Better against the rush this year. Maybe it’s just cuz it’s new but I feel they were more disruptive this year? Maybe not.

I definitely think they will get at least one high end WR

TX can’t play with big dogs. Lost their first game to UGA by 1 more point than we did. At home.

Oregon can’t play with the big dogs either apparently

Although I’m well aware that game isn’t over.
By this logic there’s only one big dawg and that will be the national champion. You bring nothing to topic.

I know one thing for certain, we don't need any malcontented WRs from the portal.
We need real dudes like JaVonta Payton and Velus Jones.
I can't trust a player's attitude with more than one transfer. But that's just me.
EDIT: Bru McCoy is an exception.

You know why #1 D linemen are checking us out? Rodney Garner and his track record of development and putting guys in the league. And he’s about to have 2 more drafted in the first couple rounds.

We need that caliber of coaching on the offensive side as well if we want to make the jump to the next level.

You would think what they did with ONL hopefully really helps here

That guy made himself a ton of money in the future just by coming to play for Rodney

Sure seems like he's gone based on what everyone is saying.

That said, I'd recommend everyone take a breath and let the next two weeks play out. There are a number of guys we're working behind the scenes.
I'm sure we'll bring in better talent and everyone will be excited again, just like the DB room last year.

Was the plan for the off-season to flip the WR room? MM the only unplanned casualty?

Rodney garner is the only proven assistant coach heupel has ever hired. Maybeeee you could make a case for Martinez and ekeler. We need more garners and more harbins. And more money, apparently.

Do you know what has changed or if Mike is just using the portal to see other offers?

I’m beginning to buy in to the idea that Heupel is going to need to adapt to a more NFL style offense

if Mike M played safety this year instead of WR he would have started Day 1 with Boo. JMO… Kid is a better defensive player than WR.

Yeah at least those two. We were able to see teams that consistently recruit at the top in all positions. Plus you add in very good assistants. We saw what we need to be a big dawg
I honestly think we beat GA in that game if it was at home. Home field advantage was so huge for everyone this year
