Probably true but, keep in mind, Beck entered the season with a Lamborghini, a brand new NIL deal, and was a projected top 10 NFL draft pick in this year's class. In regards to fame, I would say it is likely that Beck is more well known among regular people than the Cavinder twins. You certainly hear him mentioned more frequently on TV than they are.

Yeah I am glad I dont live in GA...though Charlotte is not great either. Its a decent place to live (we actually live outside the city proper) but I would rather be in East Tennessee for sure. Happy that I dont have to listen to UGA fans all the time though. Everyone here is UNC fans with a few NCSU, Dookies and Clempson fans mixed in. The whole state sucks azz at football and we get the best recruits from both Carolina states so theres no pushback over here. I married into a Carolina family and they watch Heels basketball but thats it. Fortunately, we have beaten UNC in BBall a couple times recently including that 19point beatdown in Chapel Hill...so I dont have to even listen to yappin about Bball anymore either. This really is the Golden Era of UT sports in the Big3. Its amazing. I would trade our baseball Chip and 10 years of BasketVol success for another football Championship in 2026 though. We can get there from here...just need a few things to come together, and a little good luck IMO.

News flash, we met our objective of getting our roster down to just under 83 with the exits.

If Bru comes back we may have 1 or 2 open spots, no more until more exit. Under no circumstances could we acquire 15 to 18, so drop that false narrative. We elected to offset portal losses with 24 or so HS guys instead, and have post spring to shop as well with bigger bang with our NIL MONEY on fewer guys.

You are absolutely correct and we will be a better team in the future because of it.

To be clear, Beck was never coming back. He had already declared for the draft before Branch committed. Now Beck has changed his mind and is going to the portal (likely Miami).

You guys need to do the right thing and take back your offers to Branch and the other WR. You know damn well you don’t develop WRs there, quit killing kids dreams.

Not holding my breath at this point. You are correct that we will need some guys to jump in from these last four teams... Pretty pathetic at this point, major letdown. I hope they do and we can all eat crow, but I just SMH at the seemingly Mehh approach this staff is taking right now in replacing and upgrading talent we are losing.

SURELY they don't think we are "good to go" with what we have on our current roster and what little we've added is going to realistically compete for a playoff spot next season... Heck, FL is currently in a better position than we are and they've sucked the past few seasons...

The only other reason I can guess, which I hope is not the case, is that our NIL collective is flat broke. That would be very sobering and scary that a University this size with the revenue and money we bring in, with the success and upward trajectory this team has had over the past 3-4 seasons, has mid funds compared to our SEC opponents and other major brands...

Just a quick question and not being a jerk. Do you think Heup wants to win a natty?

IMO, Heup is competitive and driven to be the best coach in the country. He’s 46 yrs old with another 15-20 plus years left in his career, maybe longer.

My point is they had conversations w Beck once he told them he wasn’t entering draft. Kirby def wanted him to return. But, NIL was main issue. It may come out, who knows.

I'm not gonna skewer you, but imo Beck has really regressed since last year. He was a potential early 1st round pick and now he might be lucky to sign anoff-season. FA deal!! No, but in all seriousness if he doesn't improve this upcoming year he won't make it to the league. He had at least 3-4 games in which he threw 3+ interceptions. He must have done some heavy partying in the offseason instead of working on his game.

I would say we see a much better version if he goes to Miami. Kirby isn’t the qb whisperer and we all know that and the you add in the hate from the fans it’s a recipe for disaster. He will reset and work himself into a good draft position.
