I ain’t worried about yall finding who you need. You always get there. Might not get there early but won’t be late.

Cool story: Bell’s brother is a RB and is transferring into Athens. Bell was close to leaving a couple years ago (homesick, I think), but he has said he’s coming back and I’d be surprised if he bailed now.

This is totally fair. He had mismatches outside and up the middle with those 2. From what I saw, he still had elite ball placement and reads though. I think he went through a breakdown this season and UGA just did a really good job of keeping it under wraps. Could you imagine Nico texting a girl he was dating about not wanting to be the QB here anymore? Could be drinking/smoking too much, or a girl problem...or just all the pressure of living in a fishbowl for a few years. I have no idea. He definitely seemed to have problems mentally in 2024 though IMO.

I think Beck was pressing all year. He had really ambitious goals and has a lot of physical talent. I think he was either trying too hard or he let the pressure/spotlight get to him. He’s a chill guy and lacks some leadership.

And, yeah, 2,000 yards of NFL receiving was sorely missed.

Fair takes, I live in georgia and am surrounded by uga fans, so my hate for them is always pretty turned up, mostly talking **** to them i predicted he would take a massive step back in the preseason though, the most telling sign to me that this was coming was what he was doing with the ball towards the end of last year when bowers and ladd were both hurt.

I’ve heard from sources UGA collective has questionable accounting practices and couldn’t pay Beck

Yeah I am glad I dont live in GA...though Charlotte is not great either. Its a decent place to live (we actually live outside the city proper) but I would rather be in East Tennessee for sure. Happy that I dont have to listen to UGA fans all the time though. Everyone here is UNC fans with a few NCSU, Dookies and Clempson fans mixed in. The whole state sucks azz at football and we get the best recruits from both Carolina states so theres no pushback over here. I married into a Carolina family and they watch Heels basketball but thats it. Fortunately, we have beaten UNC in BBall a couple times recently including that 19point beatdown in Chapel Hill...so I dont have to even listen to yappin about Bball anymore either. This really is the Golden Era of UT sports in the Big3. Its amazing. I would trade our baseball Chip and 10 years of BasketVol success for another football Championship in 2026 though. We can get there from here...just need a few things to come together, and a little good luck IMO.

Even if Nico wasn't here he wouldn't come here. He's going to Miami with his girlfriend, who is a student there.

Not holding my breath at this point. You are correct that we will need some guys to jump in from these last four teams... Pretty pathetic at this point, major letdown. I hope they do and we can all eat crow, but I just SMH at the seemingly Mehh approach this staff is taking right now in replacing and upgrading talent we are losing.

SURELY they don't think we are "good to go" with what we have on our current roster and what little we've added is going to realistically compete for a playoff spot next season... Heck, FL is currently in a better position than we are and they've sucked the past few seasons...

The only other reason I can guess, which I hope is not the case, is that our NIL collective is flat broke. That would be very sobering and scary that a University this size with the revenue and money we bring in, with the success and upward trajectory this team has had over the past 3-4 seasons, has mid funds compared to our SEC opponents and other major brands...

Probably true but, keep in mind, Beck entered the season with a Lamborghini, a brand new NIL deal, and was a projected top 10 NFL draft pick in this year's class. In regards to fame, I would say it is likely that Beck is more well known among regular people than the Cavinder twins. You certainly hear him mentioned more frequently on TV than they are.

News flash, we met our objective of getting our roster down to just under 83 with the exits.

If Bru comes back we may have 1 or 2 open spots, no more until more exit. Under no circumstances could we acquire 15 to 18, so drop that false narrative. We elected to offset portal losses with 24 or so HS guys instead, and have post spring to shop as well with bigger bang with our NIL MONEY on fewer guys.
