Thanks for the info. That's actually good news. Most of the time it's sarcasm. I understand patience and all. I just haven't got it down pat yet!! LOL!!Pregnon is on campus. Talking with players, coaches, Spyre etc. That is very good news. This is the first step. More will come out soon. Just practice some patience my friend. We just got Jefferson who everyone wanted last year.
I'm not gonna skewer you, but imo Beck has really regressed since last year. He was a potential early 1st round pick and now he might be lucky to sign anoff-season. FA deal!! No, but in all seriousness if he doesn't improve this upcoming year he won't make it to the league. He had at least 3-4 games in which he threw 3+ interceptions. He must have done some heavy partying in the offseason instead of working on his game.He wouldn’t consider coming here just to play second fiddle to Nico, but I’d take Beck as QB2 in the off chance something happened to Nico injury wise.
And before I get skewered by some, read the post again
You're not supposed to say that about teams WE BEAT!! Alabama was a juggernaut when we faced them this past season, right? LOL!!Agree. I actually ignored BOT a few times since the last time I jumped in the mud to wrestle this pig.
I absolutely agree about the aggregate. I would add to it that there is a rolling "range" of plus or minus 5 spots or maybe even 10. 247's 5th ranked composite roster could easily be the most talented. #10 might be #5. #20 might be #10.
And any team in the top 20 has enough talent to beat the others. From there it comes down to development, coaching, injuries, and "the breaks".
BOT called me out when OSU beat UT. Supposedly ALL about the stars, right? Nothing when ND monkey stomped UGA. Not really convenient for him to talk about OU... UF... FSU... USC... Michigan... Auburn. All teams that supposedly have top 20 talent but were really bad teams for most of the year.
I mean think about who the recruiting sites say is the consensus most talented team in the country- Bama. Beaten by Vandy and OU plus a mediocre at very best Michigan team. They're not the most talented team in the country... and probably weren't top 5. Still talented but also overrated.
Perhaps, but GMac should (I’d hope) be redshirted and Beck at least has more experience than Merc.
Mannnnnn I know if our starting QB entered the portal that many here would say the program is falling apart and we need to fire everybody.
Meanwhile Carson Beck says to UGA and Kirby.
bowers and ladd had the same effect on beck that keyton and gilbert had on bailey, they made him look alot better than he actually wasI have no desire to have Beck anywhere in the SEC next year much less here...but folks might remember in the 2023 season Beck was top 2 or 3 best QBs in the nation. I believe he had the highest QBR in FBS...or at least the P4 conferences. He was very good. Dont know what happened to him last year...i think the pressure got to him honestly. First all the bad press about his Lamborghini or whatever, then some girl posted screenshots of texts from him saying he didnt even want to be the QB anymore etc. Seems like a problem between the ears. He definitely has talent. Hope he goes to Miami or the B12
