True but transfer players don’t actually sign anything other than a NIL deal as far as I know. They just verbally commit
Understood. I saw that in your post. I'm just saying that the articles don't mention any hurdles such as that. I also can't imagine him taking a visit and us wasting time with it if there were any hurdles to him flipping. All I'm saying. 🤝

I just don't see him being back by the start of the season. An ACL tear is a gruesome injury and takes a long time to fully heal, and that's not to mention to get back to 100%. I hope I'm wrong, but I'd be surprised. My prayers are with him.
The timeline has sped up nowadays to recover from that, but it also depends on the person. I would say generally 8-9 months, which would put him at the beginning of the season. Some have come back at 6-7 months, including Amari Rodgers at Clemson. I would guess they would be cautious and try to have him ready for UGA on September 13.

So we let Seldon go, not wanting to give him a chance at WR and he could still be RB, yet we are looking at a mid RB in Thomas and Humphrey is still out there... This is a cluster F... everyone will be happy with me stepping away and just lurking, as this is just getting Pathetic. I can't wait to see this board in the fall... wonder if most will still be in denial... We spent all our money supposedly on freshman (class was like 10-15, not even top 5) and retains, and have nothing left to replace the talent we lost. We sign Banks to an extension--- our talent level this year masked his inability to make adjustments during the game, never blitzed, ran zone until our opponent got to the red zone (folks I guess forgot how we had to outscore our opponents the first few seasons because our defense sucked), and our Oline coach is still hanging out along with the WR coach who apparently didn't get glowing reviews from all the mass WR's leaving... Got it.
You're right. We'd be happy if you just stepped away. if you're expecting perfection every season, you're only going to be let down. It's a sad way to live. Does it even make sense to be a fan if all it does is make you this angry?

We've been rescued from .500 record hell and just made the playoffs. The sky is not falling.

Zero chance he’s an AA caliber player this close to an ACL repair. **** that sucks.

Oh, no! Please don't go!

Meltdown for no reason

Redshirt McCoy. There is zero reason to play him next season and risk making it worse.

I think we’re fine in the secondary.

I mean, we could go after another DB, but you could do something like
DB: Boo or Jalen
DB: Gibson
Safety: Thomas
Safety: Turrentine
Star: Breedlove
McCoy wants to go the league ASAP. He won’t redshirt. He will either play here or somewhere else.

It's actually not.

If Seldon wants to be a WR, and we don't think he'd be in our WR rotation, both parties did the right thing by parting ways. With Lewis and Bishop returning, we only need a depth piece at RB, which hopefully will allow Daune Morris the opportunity to redshirt. A one-and-done senior who looked impressive at times (over 200 yards from scrimmage against UNC) makes sense here, especially if it doesn't cost us much. Being critical of Banks is just silly. Dude took a JUCO-caliber roster and turned it into a Top 10 defense in 4 years. Whining about lack of blitzing and zone coverage while ignoring the fact that our total defense and scoring defense ranked #8 in country is not a complaint I can take seriously. Our WR coach had a player win the Biletnikoff trophy barely over a year ago so any complaint about him is also not something I can take seriously.

I’ll be optimistic. Going by the averages, you’re completely right. But the surgical and rehab protocols are rapidly improving and (going out on a limb) McCoy is well above average in terms of general health. If the average return time is 12-15 months, some guys are back playing in 6-9. Hopefully he’s in that group.

I'm failing to see how a 1k scrimmage yard back for a Power 4 school is so much worse than an FCS running back.

Make it make sense please.
Especially since he may be RB3. Lewis has elite ability, IMO, and DeSean Bishop isn't giving away carries to anyone. Bishop ranked 3rd in the SEC in ypc among RBs with at least 50 carries. If we want to bring in a seasoned vet to lighten the load on those guys, why not?
