I would love Hartline. I didn’t realize that was the conversationAll true. However how do you know Hartline wouldn’t bring his own wrinkles to Heupels system? Remember Golesh came from Iowa State. They didn’t run tempo. And he learned under Heupel. Hartline has been under some really good OCs. I mean do not think he couldn’t adapt to Heupels system? If not, why?
Do you honestly think Hartline could be any worse than Halze? Also factor in that Hartline would easily be our best recruiter from day 1. Sorry but I see zero negatives in trying to get someone like Hartline.
Amen. 1,000 times Amen.Means getting big time playmakers consistently. Need them to start doing that at a higher level outside of QB and EDGE moving forward. I'm not the biggest fan of the 'well we lost to the team that won it all' comments, bc those types of talents are also on Georgia, Oregon, Texas, etc year in and year out, so it's not like Vols were just a lock to win a game if they played someone else. Hopefully, they use this as a learning moment to elevate the program (in a couple ways). If they just keep doing the same thing moving forward, will be in this same position every year. 2026 class will be vital IMO. Don't think it's great in-state either so they really have to go out there and win some battles. Or they can keep going for the guys that we'll see people saying 'well that's not a big loss' in 2-3 years
Oh I know but sometimes it’s fun to dream. Oh and stop using conjecture old man.Heupel isn't going to replace Halzle with Hartline, and Hartline isn't leaving his alma mater for a lateral move. You can speculate all you want about how great it would be, but it's not something that is going to actually happen. You're talking to air.
