Oregon is also breaking in a new QB next year which is the same reason he would leave OSU in the first place according to a lot of people

Today is the first I’ve seen Texas or Oregon mentioned. I’m taking it with a grain of salt.

Coogan and Spindler are one-year rentals wherever they go. We seem to be looking for players with multiple years on the OL. Probably because Elarbee hasn't demonstrated he can develop any of his HS recruits.

Wouldn’t that mean he would still have to develop them? Multi-year guys don’t show up already at their peak like one year rentals might

Yes but they can move Moe to center and the ND guys can play both guard positions. It’s not gonna happen but fun to talk about.

If Tate hits the portal and goes elsewhere it needs to be known what our offer was because this fanbase will explode. We’ve already seen what happens when the fanbase is upset with Spyre.

The offer will never be public nor should it be. Maybe our fanbase should act like adults for once and move on with their lives. Our fanbase is our own worst enemy at times. Some you believe everything you hear and just run with it

We aren’t outbidding Oregon or Texas.

If I remember correctly, Tate was asked about NIL when he was committing and he said something like he wasn't worried that much about $ and that he was more focused on being developed and making the big bucks in the NFL. Could have just been blowing smoke but if that's true, it won't be a bidding war. Texas has Wingo so he probably wouldn't be #1 there and Oregon has Stewart, Pellum, Benson and the #1 WR coming in from high school so he might not be #1 there either. He has the best shot for a #1 spot here at Tennessee.

Think we still land him. Be almost got him coming out of HS. He loved TN and our staff. He would by fat be WR1 here and have an experienced QB throwing to him. He wouldn't have that at Oregon. JMO

I do. But more so Oregon is gonna sell it like that. “Hey come here be Tez Johnson and have 80+ receptions.” Now one thing that gives pause about Oregon is at QB don’t think that’s in their favor. But really it comes down to Hartline to be honest. Just so hard to leave that he’s exceptional. Tate’s girlfriend is girlfriend at Oregon…

So you are telling me the staff didn’t pursue any WR’s because I am assuming they thought they had a WR in the bag. Now that particular WR is very much up in the air and the staff doesn’t have a backup plan? Am I reading the situation correctly?
