If he’s smart, he will go to a school like Miss St, Colorado, Nebraska so he can play/start right away.

He was 3rd string behind another freshman. Their edge unit as a whole is worse than ours (obviously) he would be 4th strong here. 3rd next year. He would be in the same boat.


We have Bailey, West, Jenkins, Weathersby, etc. as SDE

Then have Josephs, Herring, and Ross on the other side.


I’m guessing he probably doesn’t have interest playing interior DL. If he does, he’s gonna need to gain another 25+ pounds, which means he wouldn’t be ready next year either. From the sound of it, it seems we want interior DL guys that can help right away.

Depends how much $ he is asking for and how much he expects to immediately start. We could get him in rotations early but is that enough? And I think he is viewed more as a DE when we probably need a DT quite a bit more. although there is some stuff out there saying he can play both.

Know some think he was prepping folks for a big time player(s) leaving, and in a way he probably was, but just think it’s the reality of things that a lot of schools will lose one of its better players to the portal nowadays because of how much money is involved. So nothing he said was particularly groundbreaking.

TIFWIW...read it again...TIFWIW...but Basilio is saying that Sampson is considering a return but wants big $. Also says Boo Carter's "team" has made it clear he will be expensive to retain. Also said Jermod McCoy will likely be looking for a bigger payday.

I'm not saying Basilio is wrong, but his show is like 3 hours long 5 days a week. He has to throw random stuff out to keep people listening and interested.

Remember...he was the one saying just a couple of weeks ago that there was a 90% chance that David Sanders was flipping.

If I had to pick one, I’m picking McCoy.

Thomas was suppose to start at star anyways (this is me trying to make myself feel better just in case)
