We need a RT and center too imo. I agree with everything else although, wouldn't be opposed to adding an edge rusher if staff REALLY likes one. Kinda similar to when Michigan added Josiah Stewart when they already had some good rotational guysWe dont need Edges or strongside DEs. We are loaded at both. We need Defensive Tackles and Guards on offense. A top shelf Safety wouldnt hurt either.
RT and C should already be on the roster. Perry or Warren should be ready by now at RT, and Satterwhite at C. If not, then Elarbee has failed at his job. IF Josephs goes pro, I could see that opening an opportunity to add an Edge to our rotation. But as long as he returns, we should be good.We need a RT and center too imo. Thanks my friend, it's was getting ready to ask if i could still stick here and mingle with everyone from time to timeYou’re always welcome here @Plove23 Go Vols!
Wish like heck Cam and Coaches could find an agreement to keep him here. Wherever he lands, I’m sure he’ll ball out. Best of luck! Just don’t let him go to bama/uga/uf alright?
That's awesome, I'll be sure to send or show him these wonderful comments@Plove23 just wanted to thank you for all the insights you’ve brought to the board. Hope you stick around. Cam’s decision doesn’t change the fact that I’m a huge fan. I look forward to following his career and wish him great success.
Thank you@Plove23 we have enjoyed your commentary. Best of luck to Cam in his future.
I referenced Kitselman because he was a portal afterthought who had very little production when UT took him. I believe less than this kid.Your reasoning is strange, but I was thinking specifically how hilarious it is Bama had Kitselman on their roster, didn't play him, and now is having to take Elon's cast offs to play meaningful snaps for them.
I don’t know if this has been brought up or not, but I was thinking about the fact that Cam burned his redshirt against Mississippi State. I hate that for him, because it seemed like the plan was to redshirt him after the Alabama game, but it also reflects that he was being a team first player since Tennessee had so many injured RBs. I respect that about him. That's awesome, I'll be sure to send or show him these wonderful comments
This is spot on. One of your better posts, although that’s a low bar.RT and C should already be on the roster. Perry or Warren should be ready by now at RT, and Satterwhite at C. If not, then Elarbee has failed at his job. IF Josephs goes pro, I could see that opening an opportunity to add an Edge to our rotation. But as long as he returns, we should be good.
Looking at it, if Elarbee is developing his guys, we probably only need on G on the OL, and the young guys should be prepared to serve as backup. I'm of the opinion all of our questions about Elarbee's coaching should be answered next year with how his OL plays.
DT is the other big need, just to keep up our ability to rotate in fresh bodies.
I think those two needs are well known and accepted. After that, it's a debate on what else we might need. RB? WR? Safety? I think we could improve ourselves at safety, but it doesn't appear we'll make a move there. It's wait and see who the coaches pursue. And needs will change as players make their NFL aspirations known.
I really believe that was the plan, he didn't come and say it me but I was thinking that. Oh for sure, definitely will. He said his phone has been blowing up. Its a couple teams I have in mind, but I'll wait to reveal who I'm thinking lol. I'll ask him when he comes home for Christmas and see if I'm right.I don’t know if this has been brought up or not, but I was thinking about the fact that Cam burned his redshirt against Mississippi State. I hate that for him, because it seemed like the plan was to redshirt him after the Alabama game, but it also reflects that he was being a team first player since Tennessee had so many injured RBs. I respect that about him.
And I’m glad you want to stick around. I hope you’ll keep us posted about Cam‘s progress wherever he lands.
Possibly. But if that's the case, what could he have seen to lose faith and change his mind? He signed with a team that went 4-8 last year. This year they go 6-6 with a big win over Tennessee and narrow loses to Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas, and Missouri. They seem to be on the right track.Maybe he also wants to win and realizes that’s not gonna happen there
