Another shameless turtle picture.

Posted this one in the thread asking about Weimar-whatevers, but this is really where it belongs.

I have Luke, a 2yr old 100lb Chocolate lab; and Rylee, a 29lb 5mo. old Chocolate and tan(very rare) lab. Got Luke as a graduation from UT gift from my sister. Picked him out of a litter of 8 b/c he came up to me and followed me around the whole time when I was picking out a puppy. Didn't hurt that his b-day is the day before mine:) Smartest dog I've ever owned(notice him reaching out for the ball at the edge).

Got Rylee as a friend for Luke when my roommate and his dog Bo moved out. Luke grew up having Bo around and when he left Luke almost got depressed. Rylee has definitely more than filled the void:)

Some shots of the two and Luke in action at my parents pool. He loves the water(shocker for a lab I know:p)

We saw our dog Lexie at the shelter and my husband had to have her when he saw her freaky eyes. I saw our cat Dixie about a year later at the same shelter...and same freaky eyes!

i think your turtle is the best pet on this thread. in the picture, he looks like he's smiling. well taken care of turtle.
 Thanks man.

They are amazingly easy to take care of. Not nearly as needy as a dog or a cat. Perfect for my wife and me.

... and yeah, that smile cracks me up too.

Thanks. I wouldn't actually classify myself as such. Just that my gf and daughter are not dog people. I grew up with a dog in the family pretty much my whole life. My parents used to breed dobermans and after they stopped doing that, we always had some type of dog. When I moved out, I had a Rot for a while.

Oh my gosh, I can't imagine anyone not liking dogs. I can't see a doggie without going over to pet it and all that.

My daughter and her Carin Terrier aka Shaggy :)
