This game was already a loss after Kentucky's embarrassing performance against South Carolina.

Fans were enraged, rumors of Texas contact Calipari and of course losing at home to USC Jr for the first time since 2009. All of those scenarios lit a match under UK.

Tennessee played some of their worst bball of the season today. 14% from three and outrebounded 44-25, how in the world were we even in this game is beyond me. The lights were too bright and we failed miserably on a national stage. Uros was the only one playing worth a damn, JP showed flashes, the rest of the team was no where to be seen

Not sure where the Vescovi is from last season, but we need him back fast. He's had some easy looks this season and it's just not falling. JJJ needs to just get dialed in again after missing so many games.

In basketball, losses happen. No one goes undefeated and hopefully everyone understands that. Arkansas just lost to VANDY. While UK has underperformed this season, they still have a hell of a roster, they just aren't clicking consistently. They will start going on a winning rampage like normally, this isn't a bad loss in the long run.

Barnes is a great coach, so stop attacking him over one game, he's not the one airballing open layups.

This time last season, Tennessee was AWFUL. Many people were calling for Rick's job and we ended up winning the SEC tourney.

This squad just has to find an offensive rhythm. It's going to happen, we have been seeing it over the last few games, just not today.

Sometimes you got to be embarrassed a few times to become disciplined

Um....you think we were "awful" this time last year?

Post game thought, we sucked . Everyone wrote Kentucky off and here’s what happens. Sad thing is , Kentucky truly isn’t good. Tennessee just slept walked the whole game . It’s hard to wrap your head around how a team cant get motivated to play Kentucky , out of all the teams they could play .

Sorry but to say Kentucky sucks is immature

Peanut butter and jelly sammiches are always good. Nothing else is constant. Learn it, live it, love it.

Vescovi has an injured shooting shoulder. He tweaked it again early in the game today.

I think we lost to Bama in the opener, beat Ole Piss in OT then lost to LSU and finally lost by 28 to UK. It was at that point we started to turn it around.

Yes, but saying we were "awful" is a bit much. If someone thinks 11-5 is awful at UT then they don't know what awful is.

Kentucky still has a team full of 5 star players so in the end they are always good…

We couldn't hit layups.
Nkamhoua, Phillips, Aidoo, & Mashack combined had almost no impact.
Nkamhoua played terribly soft all game, a stark difference to the last few games.
Plavsic played great, probably best game of the year.
We were pathetic from 3.
Jay Bilas loves him some Kentucky.

I will say this - we played terribly and still looked like we were gonna win with about 30 secs to go.
We just missed so many layups and FTs —and made a couple of bad decisions on where to pass the ball (to wide open people) at the end. It happens.
Hell, there have been ten ranked teams with a loss today - so far. And 7 of them are to unranked teams.
It happens. And be glad it happened in January as opposed to March. Hopefully we learn from this and are ready the next time we have a big game. It happens too.
And, I’ll sunshine pump once more with a final thought : Whoda’ thunk we’d get to the point where we are all shocked and very, very disappointed to lose to a UK team full of elite talent. Good time to be a Vol!

No reason to overreact after one poorly played game. But I do think Kentucky showed other teams how to defend us. Defend straight up 1x1 on post, don’t let us feel comfortable from perimeter and force us to drive and attempt to finish at the goal. I don’t think we match up well against Alabama.
