I don’t know how many other teams we’ll play this year with the athletes to do all of that and not leave an opening to exploit. Alabama might be the only one.No reason to overreact after one poorly played game. But I do think Kentucky showed other teams how to defend us. Defend straight up 1x1 on post, don’t let us feel comfortable from perimeter and force us to drive and attempt to finish at the goal. I don’t think we match up well against Alabama.
Show me a college basketball team that never has a scoring drought and I’ll show you a unicorn.Just make some first grader type layups and we win this game. Nothing really to worry about long term, but we have to figure out a way to stop these awful scoring droughts we go through. It hurts us at the worst times.
Everyone was saying the offense sucked, we’d be lucky to make the tourney, Fahr Barnes, etc this time last year. The Texas loss had people in effing fits. The offense was awful and had not even shown the sparks we’ve seen from this season’s bunch.Um....you think we were "awful" this time last year?
We couldn't hit layups.
Nkamhoua, Phillips, Aidoo, & Mashack combined had almost no impact.
Nkamhoua played terribly soft all game, a stark difference to the last few games.
Plavsic played great, probably best game of the year.
We were pathetic from 3.
Jay Bilas loves him some Kentucky.

I was surprised to see Nkamhoua pulled that quickly in the 2nd half. And then I rewatched the sequence.
That weird pass to Vescovi. Not going after boards. Something was definitely off with the dude today.
This. We were 11-5 at this point, last year, having just gotten blown out by UK at Rupp. Lots of fans ripping our team, the offense, etc.
Fair enough. Just providing some context to the idea. It seemed like you had forgotten how down a lot of our fans were at the same point. I agree awful isn't the correct term I think the term was used metaphorically.Yes, lots of rippping but I asked if we were actually awful, and no we were not. We weren't playing great, but awful is Wade Houston, not 11-5 and just outside the Top 25.

We need to build a smaller arena that’s actually designed for a college basketball environment like Auburn and Texas just did (and Alabama will soon be doing). Bigger is not automatically better. Keep TBA for concerts, WWE, etc but it’s too much like an NBA environment in there for basketball.I haven’t seen it posted, but the TN crowd was pathetic. It’s the worst I’ve ever seen for a KY game other than those times that KY blew TN out on their own floor. And the KY fan turnout was the worst I’ve ever seen at the TBA.
That is such a bad idea with zero chance of happening. We need to build a smaller arena that’s actually designed for a college basketball environment like Auburn and Texas just did (and Alabama will soon be doing).
