Elder said Darr is punting better than he ever has since he has been here. There are three kickers battling for the job and all are being out in pressure situations daily.

Gillespie said he likes what he has in Scott and Paulk. He mentioned Paulk is still getting back to 100 percent from his injury, but is looking good athletically.

How many times have we heard/read the words faster and speed in the first three days? That alone is enough to get me excited. Our defense can't help but be better.

Exactly! Our defense should be better and with this speed hopefully able to pressure QBs a lot more.

I mean, I really don't think there's any chance that Worley isn't starting against Utah State. Does anyone think Dobbs might actually win the job before the first game?

Competition is good and all, but I don't understand why Jones just didn't name Worley the starter, make him a captain and move on. There have been rumblings that Worley was upset that he wasn't chosen to go to SEC Media Days and I don't see any reason why he shouldn't have gone. JMO.

I don't expect Dobbs to win the starting job, but if he does, I hope it's before the first game. I hope it's Worley all the way, though.

I get what you're saying. If Dobbs is the starter after the start of the season, it likely means Worley is really struggling.
