At 2:00 mark, Dobbs talks trash to Maggitt after TD and gets slapped to the ground.
Have to admit that was funny. It was a bear claw smack down by a disturbed Maggitt that took him down. Dobbs probably should have stayed on the porch on that one. lol

I could've thrown that slant. It was so open. If anyone should've been talking smack it should've been Wolf himself not Dobbs. Maggitt will get him back in scrimmage. I suspect a whooping for Mr. Dobbs. Also Maggitt is a Hybrid OLB\DE so I'm too concerned he got beat.
I don't even know that Dobbs was actually talking smack. We're kinda just assuming he was but it's just as likely Curt simply didn't want to see anyone wearing red or white approach him after losing a rep to the O. In fact, I'd say losing that rep had more to do with it than anything else. Maggitt is a fierce competitor, doesn't like losing, a leader on D (a young D that needs him badly) and after red shirting last year was probably more than a little mad at himself.
Reading more into it than a funny exchange that happened between teammates competing and agging one another on is silly. Our guys coach one another and yes, trash talk one another and have even fought with one another the past few days. That's confidence and swag. IOW, it's football - they are brothers. Sit back and enjoy seeing real players interact in a competitive practice environment.
The Dooley mindset where everyone sits around depressed and ready to slash open his or her wrists has been banished - what you're seeing is a GOOD thing!

As much as I love practice highlights, it only services to remind me the talent differential between us and teams like Alabama and Auburn. It's still immense.
We just don't have the players.

I watched the replay of the 2002 Arkansas-TN game last night. We won in 6 OT's. and were ranked # 10 at the time. Those were the days, and totthink we used to complain about Clausan, Randy Sanders, Phil and John Chavis. Boy, the NC in 98 really spoiled us. I would love to have that team and coaches today. Witten won the game in the end. :good!:
