Practice #6 Updates (4:00pm start)

What a waste of time searching through page after page of nothing just because someone wanted to be first to post. Can't we wait til there is some news to share?

You no good, unappreciative, lazy, non contributing jerk. No ones here to serve Mr. T_man up some free everything he wants at a click. Fingers gives a lot of effort and time to dig this stuff up and share it. It's not his job. And no, your post didn't get a like, I accidentally hit "like" instead of "quote". Mods PLEASE remove it.

2016 Battle for Bristol defense
(Given no one leaves early)

DE Dewayne Hendrix (junior)
DT Shy Tuttle (sophomore)
DT Kahlil McKenzie (sophomore)
DE Derek Barnett (junior)

OLB Jalen Reeves-Maybin (senior)
MLB Cecil Cherry (sophomore)
OLB Dillon Bates (junior)

CB Cam Sutton (senior)
CB Emmanuel Mosley (junior)
SS Todd Kelly Jr. (Junior)
FS Rashaun Gaulden/ Berry's (junior)

This looks like a top 10 defense on talent alone.

No Evan or Elliott? Their older brother requests to meet you across the middle!

Your best bet would be to ride a horse when you meet him.

The sad thing is, from all we are hearing, Peterman is at least as good as anyone else we have.

I agree this worries all of us. I'm clearly being harsh on peterman but that's expected when you're a scholarship qb in the sec. I just don't think either have shown they can win big games besides Worley beating sc- honestly those catches could have just as easily gone the other way. I see more consistent bad throws than good from him IMO.

Our TE's had a serious case of the drops. I hope it's just a little fatigue setting in and they'll bounce back with more focus. Tomorrow is a new day.

All of them except Wolf and Helm. Those two have caught almost everything and have made some tough catches as well. Pretty apparent that they became the best TEs on the squad as soon as they stepped on campus.

Nasty! Although I wouldn't count out Gavin Bryant or either of the Berry's.

LB's showing out, will be one of the best groups in the SEC and will make the D better than last year, way underrated as a group. Secondary looks solid, if not spectacular, all up to the biggies on DL to complete the D.

Watch Worley come out against USU and throw for over 300 yards

Give me North, Pearson, Malone, and Croom, I'll throw for over 300 yards against USU.

Somehow UT has managed to have 4 QBs that are so uncompetitive that none can get a consistent edge. I'm typically not very negative and we're still early in fall camp, but Worley's simply not going to give us the USC game every time out. He isn't capable to do it consistently. Peterman, if he can go thru a remarkable transformation, can have a shot. Dobbs seems to be showing he simply doesn't have an arm accurate enough to play at an elite level.

I guess we'll see. It seems like our QBs will be trying to keep from losing games instead of being in attack mode... Again.

I had really hoped that Worley would step up this year but it's looking less likely to happen at this point.

I know the coaches have been on him a lot about his body language and effort. Hasn't seemed to respond very well, went from taking first team reps to third team reps.

Don't know if true but I remember posters saying during Malone's recruitment that he was skeptical of our QB play and our Coaches had to show him practice video of Ferguson to secure his commitment that he will have a competent QB able to throw him the ball. Maybe that is why his body language is down, he may be frustrated also - again, this was said so long ago and may not be true.

Well, he's taking 3rd team snaps and 3 days ago he was taking 1st team snaps.

Also, the temperature is the same for everyone at practice.

Peterman was taking first team snaps a couple days ago. Now look at where he's at. Don't really think taking first, second or third string snaps means a thing right now. In a week or so that will be different.

If I'm not a die hard tennessee fan, and I'm an elite receiver, I would be pissed being here with poor QB play

Good point. I recall that also. Ferguson was who the coaches were counting on to play going forward since he had the most talent of any QB we had on the roster. (would have played last year if he wasn't hurt) And to think some were cheering him leaving. We may miss him this season if one of these other QB's don't step up.
