Not exactly practice related but from today.

We'll ALLOW it. :)

No Evan or Elliott? Their older brother requests to meet you across the middle!

Your best bet would be to ride a horse when you meet him.

I just put my favorite prospects based on potential and film. I also put /Berry's up there because no one quite knows where they'll land. We know what McKenzie will do, and we all know how we felt after watching the TK jr, cherry, and Dillon Bates highlights. To me, this defense is what we need to get to the next level. And by that, I mean all of these hyped up prospects need to live up to the expectation. Luckily, we have Butch Jones to hold them accountable. Make your own starting line up if you want to

Whewee 18 pages of catching up. I haven't watched videos yet but if everything is as bad as I have read on offense we are doomed. But I know how negative some people get. Any who I think the qb regardless of who it is will be making many short throws this year just get the ball into the hands of the playmakers

I'm generally grouped in with the 'sunshine pumpers' around here - but I'm starting to get really concerned about the QB position.

Worley, being a SR and with a year under his belt in this system shouldn't be struggling like he is. This is a guy w/ two starts @ Alabama. Come on Justin.

Dobbs is in trouble as well. Blow it this year and who knows w/ Dormandy possibly coming in as an EE...bust central?

What about Vereen? He will be a senior that season.

Eh. I'll worry when there's something to worry about. They are just now getting back on the field, just put on pads a couple of days ago. Quarterbacks must be precise, this is the position where the rust from the offseason will be much more noticeable. By the end of spring our QB's were lighting it up.

Calm down everyone, we talkin 'bout practice.

What's up with Derrell Scott, I don't think he's practiced this week?

In no contact jersey today... unfortunately he must be banged up. Let's hope he gets healthy, was hoping to hear that he was having a strong showing this fall camp.

Long time reader first time poster. Enjoy everything all of you do to keep us informed. Didn't the qb's struggle in spring until the Orange and White game. I was there and they all seemed to be able to move the ball effectively. I think they just need to shake off the rust. It will be more telling after the first scrimmage on how bad or good they will be, they certainly have the playmakers to make it interesting this year.

I'm ready for Saturday. I think the scrimmage will give a great indication of how far along we are. I personally like the idea our defense is coming along better than offense. Guess just the defensive minded player in me :)

I'm going to need some prozac or Xanax by the time the first game gets here. I keep going from optimistic about the offense and pessimistic of the defense to optimistic of the defense and pessimistic of the offense.

I would be more optimistic about the defense until we get a good SEC caliber QB on roster. until then, we are likely another 6-6 or 5-7 team. Hopefully they surprise everyone this year, but you may want to take a sedative and buckle your seat belt.

Good point. I recall that also. Ferguson was who the coaches were counting on to play going forward since he had the most talent of any QB we had on the roster. (would have played last year if he wasn't hurt) And to think some were cheering him leaving. We may miss him this season if one of these other QB's don't step up.

He was shown Worley and Dobbs film also and liked all three according to him. RF was a turnover waiting to happen. He wouldn't be doing any better.

I watched the video and saw one bad ball by Worley. I don't understand where "the sky is falling" crowd is coming from.

I think everyone is shell shocked from the last 5 plus seasons. No one wants to get too excited because they are afraid to get burned again.
CBJ holds players to a higher standard. He is not a sunshine pumper. It may take all 3 qbs to get through the season. He is just trying to get them ready. I am sure he could care less what everyone else thinks about his methods.

Supposedly threw 1 TD and 3 ints in the red zone

Yeah but no one one here saw them or the situation or the receiver matchup. Too many variables in a practice setting to simply look at stats and make a decision on his progress. Just like I don't think Peterman is the 2nd coming of Manning because he reportedly threw 4 TD's in the same setting.

Bad red zone. Bad 7 on 7 the last couple of practices. Still horribly under throwing a bunch of passes.
