John Brice posted earlier that Elliot Berry is expected to "slide up a level from the secondary to an outside linebacker spot" today.

Something to keep an eye on today as the reports start rolling in.

Working in a late-game situation, with Jones barking the Vols were down two and 1:02 left on the clock with one timeout, quarterback Justin Worley got the first-team reps behind the same offensive line of all camp and skill players consisting of Marquez North, Alton 'Pig' Howard, Von Pearson, tight end Ethan Wolf and tailback Marlin Lane.

The Vols' opening defense, which stopped the offense on four downs with two incompletions, a drop and a short completion to Lane, opened with Curt Maggitt, Corey Vereen, Dimarya Mixon, Jordan Williams, Emmanuel Moseley, Cam Sutton, Justin Coleman, Brian Randolph and Devaun Swafford.

Only Nathan Peterman, working with third-team, led the Vols' offense downfield for a "game-winning" 31-yard field goal off the foot of freshman kicker Aaron Medley.

The Vols conducted several more one-on-one battles later in practice, with Maggitt besting Jacob Gilliam while Danny O'Brien beat Mack Crowder. Kyler Kerbyson topped Jordan Williams while Jashon Robertson mostly battled Kendal Vickers to a stalemate. LaTroy Lewis topped Marques Pair, and Michael Sawyers cruised past Ray Raulerson. Dimarya Mixon blasted Thomas Edwards, and Dewayne Hendrix boomed past Brett Kendrick. Jaylen Miller battled Jackson to a draw, while Joe Henderson topped Coleman Thomas. Dontavius Blair beat Jakob Johnson, O'Brien and Crowder battled to a tie and then Williams bested Kerbyson.

-Dobbs was second team
-Kenny Bynum got some first team reps at Mi LB
-Elliot Berry worked at nickel and OLB
