The first-team offense's two turns, with Justin Worley at quarterback, ended in a fourth-down incompletion and an interception. On the first series, Pig Howard had a short pass go through his hands, and linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin made a nice open-field tackle on tailback Marlin Lane before a miscommunication on fourth down saw Worley throw deep to a spot devoid of any receivers.
Worley started his second series with two completions, but freshman cornerback Emmanuel Moseley had good coverage deep on receiver Marquez North and came down with a tough catch on Worley's underthrown pass to end the series.
"Put the ball where one guy can catch it!" Vols coach Butch Jones barked at his senior quarterback.

Josh Smith continued to make catch after catch
The most impressive play at least in periods open to reporters was freshman cornerback Emmanuel Moseleys interception of senior quarterback Justin Worley. Big sophomore receiver Marquez North tried to go over the top and over the back of Moseley something North does to defensive backs with regularity but Moseley stood his ground, timed his leap perfectly and came down with an acrobatic pick despite the strong North trying to knock the ball away.
